Nicholson needs to get off his high horse. This isn't the same Joker. In fact, comparing Burton's films with Nolan's films is apples and oranges. I understand that he's proud of the work he and Burton did on the first film, but that doesn't make him the expert on all things Joker.
The Joker of Batman '89 resembled the more prankster aspect of the Joker in his tamer days. More dangerous than a delinquent, but not as dangerous as Alex of Clockwork Orange. Nicholson's Joker only killed people he knew, more specifically, the ones who had wronged him. While he did a good job on that aspect, that's only one side of Joker. As most of us know, Joker is very multi-polar. Heath's Joker is going to be more like the one of the early appearance's, five-way revenge, and Killing Joke. He makes dead baby jokes and finds AIDS hilarious. Sorry, Jack, but just because you did a good job at it 9 years ago doesn't make you the go-to person. Let Heath portray it the way he interprets the character and quit *****ing about it.
