Nicolas Cage to get.....Left Behind

If the quality of that poster is any indication of the quality of the film...then I think we're in for a treat! :pal:

Cage has that "Wha?" look with the photoshopped toupee

And Nicky Whelan is doing his best "blue steel"

And let's not overlook Jordin Sparks' excellent "surprised actress on the cover of a 1990s porn video" expression. I am happy this movie is positioning her to springboard onto other projects.

I thought Cage would have moved on to better things after 'Joe' because that movie was so damn good and probably his best performance in years.

Oh well, at least we're getting another weird hairdo crazy Cage movie.

I think this Left Behind movie will strictly cover the rapture and events shortly after it. I understand that the antichrist Nicolae Carpathia will not be making an appearance.

Honestly... he doesn't need to.

Cage should have played the antichrist, would have been more fun:woot:

Chad Michael Murray is in this film?

Don't know if that's good or bad.

From what I read, dude has a lot of debt.

Indeed. Underground pyramids aren't going to pay themselves off.

This doesn't make sense at all. How can Nic Cage be left behind by God when he is in fact God himself? Hallelujaaaaah!

"Could Nic Cage create a film so crappy, he himself would not appear in it, and gladly accept the check?"

The answer is no, of course not. The man needs to pay alimony. :word:

I can't tell if this is sad I will watch this in the theater simply for Nic. I don't care how bad the trailers look I must see how he pulls off Rayford.

I saw the trailer. Yes, it's very, very sad to see him doing movies like this. It feels...literally like a direct to DVD movie.

LMAO this looks awful.

They should have included Kirk Cameron in this version though. If you put him and Cage in the same movie, the combined amount of bad acting would shatter the fabric of reality.
Nic Cage and bad acting does not compute.

Was this shot in New Orleans too? Another Nick Cage staple. I swear, on Netflix, 90 percent of his filsm take place in the Big Easy aka The Big Tax Break.

He's doing most of these things to pay his taxex, I get that. When he does a good indie role it's really good.

I understand that. He's stuck in a hole. But how big is this damn hole? 100 million?

He's already started selling his assets to pay off like a $20 million debt. The problem is that he continues to spend more than he can afford. He earned something like $150 million from like 1998 to 2010.

And I'm assuming these low budget movies aren't paying him THAT well (I would guess 2-3 million per picture) but he can work back to back, so I guess it adds up. But that also ruins his reputation. For every good movie he does, then he's in 7 bad ones.

It's either work and make money to show he intends on paying it, or probably go to jail. I wouldn't say his reputation is ruined. It's been this way for years now. Nothing he does will ruin it. The goods ones just show he can do better than his current choices.

I think you guys think higher of him than he does of himself.
He's amazing and he knows it.

I'm surprised he hasn't been in a movie with Danny Trejo yet.

Those two make like 30 movies a year and never cross paths.
