They don't film in sequential order, ya know?

EDIT: Wait, I think I just got what you meant. LOL..

Of course if he joins the xmen he might never have gone to the circus. Possibilities opens up a lot with the new timeline

Except the timeline didn't diverge until 1973. If Kurt was born in say 1964, as it seems he was (based on numerous things, including age of Kodi, age of other characters, when Azazel died, etc.) then his early life in this new timeline would have been the same as the original timeline, since they were/are the same timeline (up until 1973).

If he was left as a baby, which matches pretty much all canon, and it was at the circus, which many of us are hoping for and which matches what was stated in X2, then he should be in the circus in this timeline.

I will admit that the outfit that he is wearing in Singer's Instagram pic does not bode well for the growing up in the circus concept. I was truly hoping for an iconic circus uniform, but that is not what we were given. Yes, maybe that's just his "travel clothes", but maybe that's what he'll be wearing the entire flick. I truly hope not, but we'll see...

Doesn't look as good as X2 but this is only a few photos so it might well do by the film.

I prefer the more creature like look they're going with like the feet; as others have said I don't like the hair but considering it's the 80s I'll let it pass

Does it matter? They all look like publicity stills their is probably lots of them taken in advance to filming.

In this case, it sort of does.

Kodi will be filming today at the mall. There will be a ton of set photos coming later. That's why they released an "official" still. Same thing happened with Deadpool, and various other cbm's like Spider-Man or Superman. It's the studios way of "one-upping" set photos that they know they have no way of stopping.

He looks like Karate-Kid-era Ralph Macchio, but blue

:wall::mad::mad::wall:whats he doin at the mall?
i hope the cops lock em and he stays caged like Beast in TAS.

yeah

Hmm, I actually think that hairstyle would have fit jubilee quite nicely. Wonder if she'll have it long.

I guess he looks pretty cool. Not a fan of the hair. Hope he gets an actual uniform this time around.

His fingers are too fat, they could do better job 10 years later.

Why he has straight hair, when he has wavy hair 30 years later.

From head to toe, he looks perfect.

He kinda has similar eyes (color and shape) as Mystique, but I'm not sure they'll address their relationship because they could consider it being a unnecessary sidetrack to the general Apocalypse story.

I wouldn't be surprised if it comes up. They seem to have made a real effort to make Mystique more of an actual character in the "FC Trilogy" as opposed to merely a badass blue henchwoman like she was in the OT, and this would further that idea. And the timeline would match up pretty well.

The marking on his forehead seems like abit of a hint to the relation, interesting approach to it

Kodi Smit-McPhee on His Connection to Nightcrawler From ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

“They’re keeping his look very traditional, and even things that are happening within the story are very traditional,” Smit-McPhee, 18, said in a recent interview. “I believe his look is mustered from a combination of Azazel and Mystique, the blue and the demonish figure. I think it’s really cool they have that image but then the heart, soul and brain behind that image is something so different to what he looks like.”

As illustrated in the image, which was quickly pulled from Singer’s Instagram account, Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler is the offspring of Mystique and Azazel and resembles traditional comic-book depictions of the character as a three-fingered, yellow-eyed figure with a prehensile tail. Though he said it’s been “amazing” to go through make-up and costume tests for the look of Nightcrawler, the actor said he feels a strong personal connection to the character’s faith and selflessness. “Nightcrawler has a love for faith and god and all he really does is, through his pain and suffering, give love to everyone else,” he said. “There’s some really raw, true elements to me and my life.”
