No it's stupid to compare Transformers and Captain America.
Transformers was internationally loved by millions before they became films. It was about big robots smashing the **** out of each other.
So was Captain America.
Captain America is not internationally loved by millions. And he is an America soldier with a gaudy stars and stripes costume and his name is... Captain AMERICA.
******** on a stick. Character that's been around for and surived much longer than Transformers and been published all over the world and in multiple languages.
You really cannot compare the two... at all.
Transformers movies LITTERED AND FILLED UP WITH MICHAEL BAY FLAG WAVING MILITARY LOVING PATRIOTISM made tons of money overseas. Sony was so sensitive to anti-Americanism they literally edited the American flag out of overseas versions of Spider-man. Just goes to show that all the over-sensitivity is absolute ********.
