Also he said this will be more gritty and graphic (realistic). Does this mean that it won't have the action scenes like dragonball anime?? :csad:

Clearly this movie won't have mindblowing action scenes. See how he says the last battle is the best one. So does that mean that was the only action scene he liked??:csad:

Erm wouldn't everyone expect the last battle between Goku and Piccolo to be the best action scene?

Its not like Mai vs Chi Chi is gonna be better.

Either way its a bad idea being out a month because A) Bootleg B) If its crap itll spread about before it opens in US and put people off.

Also sorry for triple post but Marsters said it was gritty so PG-13?

It sounds like Piccolo Daimao and Piccolo Jr are being merged into 1.

And although it sounds great James and Justin are concerned with costumes it goes to show the producers (Chow) dont seem to care about keeping the spirit of Dragonball

Comic Con is a huge opprotunity to market Dragonball. They'll have something, I hope.

they need to have some kind of prescence there.

thanks adam for more news!

That's a full month before!!!:wow:

I am worried there will be tons of bootleg or dvd quality copies available by the time it hits in North America and rest of the world which could seriously hurt its boxoffice.:csad:

Also my exam will start on the same day the movie starts so I will be unable to watch it in theatres hence leaving no choice but to watch it on bootleg. :csad::cmad:

Good that way it saves me a few dollars from seeing what I believe will be a mess.

if Fox doesn't give any Dragonball info at comic con, then it'll definitely be indicative that they lack confidence in this film.

And we thought that Chow would be the one who will somehow save this movie from being a disaster. Haha :cmad::o

sigh

This is the reason why I feel this movie won't do well because if this movie is mediocre the japanese audience will be pretty vocal about it hence killing our anticipation and this movie's boxoffice.

Fox is really stupid. Why the hell do they have to release it one month in advance in Japan. They know damn well that bootleg copies will be available. On top of that they are releasing it in North America when Universities and colleges have exams. :cmad:

best case scenario $80 million domestically and $150 million overseas. No sequel to Dragonball because fox has no idea how to release a movie.

Wow, you really have no idea what you're talking.

If fox gives no info on Wolverine at comic con then does that mean they lack confidence in that as well?? Remember that movie actually has an oscar winning director attached. :o

if Fox gives no info on Wolverine at comic con, then it won't mean that they lack confidence.....it will mean that they lack intelligence.

normally, i'd agree...but after the Resident Evil trilogy, i never say "no" when predicting sequels.

X-Men: The Last Stand had zero presence at both SDCC and NYCC.

Other than the posters they handed out at Wizard World, they didn't have any panels at any Cons.

X-Men: The Last Stand was a depressing conclusion to the X-Men series in every sense of the word "depressing".

Wolverine, however, seems to be the Casino Royale or Quantam of Solace of X-Men.

And we all kno hnow the last stand did haha... fox was afraid of the fans that year lol

Nah this shows that you are extremely biased.

glad you edited your post. it actually says something that i somewhat agree. however, i find it ironic that you have a DBZ avatar, a DBZ handle, a join date not long after they started filming, and a post history consisting of posts primarily under the DB forum...and you're calling ME extremely biased. :wow:

Wow you guys are funny. About the interview, you do realize that interview was a rough translation. So you're deeply speculating on something he possibly didn't actually say. And dragonball will definitely make they're presence at CC.

I fail to see the relevance.

1 - speculation happens when people crave news
2 - you say we're "DEEPLY speculating" (wtf?) about something he possibly didn't say, then you turn around and say that DB will DEFINITELY make an appearance at CC. isn't that...*gasp*...speculation???

I fail to see the relevance.

X-Men: the Last Stand was the end to a series. it was a rushed movie with a lot of negative buzz around it (like DB) and it was being directed by a different director whom many fellow nerds deemed lame even before he took the job. if they showcased X-Men 3 at comic con, it would have been recieved with a significant amount of "Boo's".

Wolverine: Origins, however, is basically a retcon the likes of Batman Begins and Casino Royale....even more so since it's being helmed by an Oscar winning director. it makes MUCH more sense to plug a film that most fans have actually shown interest in (Wolverine), than to plug a film that most fans have shown indifference in (X-Men: the Last Stand).
