J, you'll never guess whom Pat Riley wanted to draft with the pick that eventually became Dwyane Wade.

EDIT: Yi Jianlian is pronounced EE TEE-an LEE-an.:o

I saw that earlier. I felt bad for a moment, then I though about how it all worked out and I got the giggles.

Seriously though, what the hell?

Yeah. lol.
Hey, if that happened, we'd see some pretty ****ing epic center battles.
Also, mandatory Chris Kaman clip:

:wow::huh::csad::down

DRAFT DAY B**CH'S!!!!

Come on Noah, Hawes, or Yi Jianlian. YEAH!!!

Not to mimic the youtube comments, but that last one could have been fake.

I'll mimic the YouTube comments and say I want my 32 seconds back.

I want to see all 15 minutes. I want anger, vitriol and rage ...and maybe a manifestation of some desire to screw Jeannie Buss.

****ing Mamba.

You leave me and my Word of the Day calendar alone. :cmad: :word:

Hey, I've got more useless trade rumors! :hyper:
• The New Jersey Nets delivered a proposal of Richard Jefferson, Nenad Krstic and Jason Collins to the Pacers for Jermaine O'Neal, multiple league sources said Thursday. Krstic is rehabilitating a torn ACL suffered early last season, but is expected to be back for the start of the season. There isn't any draft day urgency to the deal because no picks are involved, so if the scenario does advance, sources expect it would not happen until July.

• The Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks have had serious discussions about a trade that would send Zach Randolph and Martell Webster to the Knicks for Steve Francis and Channing Frye. Other parts have been included in proposals, but all combinations include Randolph.

Here is what I do know. The Sonics are having discussions with other teams to gauge the interest in Ray and what his value would be. Here is what I do not know: That the Sonics offered Ray to the Boston Celtics for the No. 5 pick and Theo Ratliff. KJR’s Ian Furness reported that last night, and I have been unable to confirm it. Doesn’t mean it’s not true, just that I don’t independently know that Ian’s sources are right.

Interesting, I'd love the Knicks to get rid of Francis. I'd do that trade. What I've heard though is that NY and Seattle are trying to work out a sign and trade for Rashard Lewis, which would send Crawford and Nate Robinson to their hometown Sonics.

Thats a horrible trade for the Blazers!!! They need a SF and they Steve Francis and Fry???

Frye isn't bad, nowhere near Randolph though. He needs to get the hell out of NY.

Why would anyone want Francis, especially at his price tag?

The Minnesota Timberwolves' attempts to trade Kevin Garnett continued Thursday afternoon.

The Wolves have contacted the Charlotte Bobcats to try to help facilitate a deal for Garnett, one day after a potential three-way deal with the Phoenix Suns and the Atlanta Hawks hit a roadblock.

According to sources, the Wolves are asking the Bobcats to give up the No. 8 pick along with an undisclosed player. In the proposed deal, Garnett would go to Phoenix, and the Suns would send Amare Stoudemire to Charlotte. The Bobcats would also be required to take Suns guard Marcus Banks.

The Bobcats have been offering the No. 8 pick to various teams for weeks and have several offers. If they can't get something worked out with Minnesota and Phoenix before the draft, the Bobcats will likely move the pick in another deal, a source said.

However, a source in Phoenix continues to maintain that the team has not had any conversations about trading Stoudemire.

HahahahahahahahahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Isaiah Thomas makes me laugh. :yay:
"Oh, sure, I'll take your washed-up, crybaby point guard, even though I already have one. Here, why don't you take the next Gerald Wallace from me? Does that sound fair?"

:woot::up:

EDIT: I just realized that that trade would give the Knicks Zach Randolph AND Eddy Curry.

Seriously where is Paxson in all this! Why isn't he at least trying to get in on some of this action. God I am so frustrated right now! I was hoping something would happen in the offseason. So far just crickets! GRRRRR!!!:cmad:

Holy sh** Yi is like 7,0, & is moving like guard!:wow: I hope Paxson has taken notice.

I agree with Bill Simmons, who says Yi is going to be a huge bust. He hasn't worked out against ANYBODY in the draft; teams are basing their opinions of him on his ability to post-up folding chairs.

That said, YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII TeeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN LeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
****, I almost wish the Magic would get him somehow just so I could hear Paul Porter say that name 41 times a year.

Simmons refers to him as the Chinese Brad Lohaus.

They said the same **** to Yao Ming! Besides Yi has too much skill to not be productive! At least he will be as good as Toni Kukoc

Carnage: Who's Brad Lohaus?
J: Exactly!

He looks better built than Yao, & also more athletic. Heck all this bad PR is a plus. at least he won't go early. I just hope Paxson uses common sense, & picks him. Thinking of Tyrus Thomas, & Yi together is making me happy.:woot:

Simmons refers to him as the Chinese Brad Lohaus.

That's being generous.

Of course, Chad Ford thinks Yi is the next Dirk or some ****, but he also said Darko was going to be dominant immediately and the best center form 2004 would not be Howard or Okafor, but Pavel Podkolzine.

Watching Simmons and Ford trash each other in their mock draft yesterday was pretty hilarious. :woot:
