I will go out on a limb and say Clemens isn't in the report at all.

GMs of teams that need to take that next step to be really good need to stop overvaluing prospects and trade them for impact players. Take the Dodgers for example. They should trade for Miguel Cabrera. All of a sudden they'd be the best team in the NL West.

No we should not TRADE for Miguel. The Marlins already turned down; Loney, Bills, and Kemp! If they turned that down what else what they ask for and what else is Ned stupid enough to do he already signed Chan Ho (Ok I admit I kinda like that deal).

What would the Marlins Ask for? Bills, Loney, Kershaw, Meloan, Laroche Kemp, Martin!? Granted, yes, some are unproven prosepcts. And Laroche has yet to live up to his potential, but Martin, Bills, Loney and kemp are all future all-stars and they are signed on at the minimum for the next 3 years. So with that being said the Dodgers need to Spend on A-rod. This isn't Dreifort, Brown. With him being hispanic and the Dodgers attendance never going below 2 million since the 70's they will make that money back in one game. (OK not really)

But too sum up my long rant on you, No on miggy yes on A-rod. Sorry for all that bud.

I'll never forget that game for not only that reason, which I think that run that went across Boone's back tied the game, but the biggest hit in the season that ultimately destroyed the Indians came with a home run to win it by Crede, and the rest is history.

Its come out that the 11 free agents that were said to be named in the Mitchell report are actually just meeting with MLB, not being named in the report. I guess some of them still could end up on it, but it was a little different story than first reported because of some confusion.

i don't think the sox are serious about a-rod. they probably just wanted to get the meeting with boras out of the way.

I think they got the fans' message after the world series.

The sox have some flexibility with Youk being able to shift to third. It's easier to find a good hitting 1B than a good hitting 3B. That's probably what their backup plan is.

i really doubt that's true. a-rod is too expensive and he's too much of a headache to deal with in the clubhouse. i'm pretty sure they'd rather avoid handcuffing themselves with another huge, longterm contract. besides, the fans have made it clear that they don't want him, the team has proven it can win without him and he's proven he's lousy in the post season. what makes you think they'd want him over lowell?

i project lowell's numbers to be around what they were in '06, with his typical stellar defense.
