Comics Official (adjectiveless) X-MEN Discussion Thread

I didn't catch that at first. Is Bobby getting blessed into living holy water?

Wow, Gambit has really pimped out his ride! Very Mad-Maxish!

Cool idea about blessing Bobby. Glad to see they are thinking a bit out of the box.

Wow, Gambit. :D And I was going to skip that. Won't be passing it by now... :p

So I'm betting that Jubilee and Logan switch sides by the end of this issue. Let's face it Wolverine allowed himself to be bitten there is something in his blood that affected Jubilee when she bit him.

i think it would be pretty cool if Jubilee came out of this story still a vampire, maybe even an enemy for a while longer. its not like shes got anything better to do...

^^ I believe that's the plan

That's the story for the Wolverine & Jubilee mini their doing

but I guess his blood does bring her back a little bit, at least attitude-wise

That's what I meant about the blood. I like the idea that Jubilee doesn't become a mutant again as the cast are barely getting a look in over Cyclops, Emma and Wolverine lol.

After braving the lizard-creature infested sewers beneath Manhattan, Spider-Man reveals to the X-Men just exactly who they are up against. But this doesn't explain the rash of disappearances of outcast teenagers. Why have they vanished, and what do these kids have in common? The X-Men must use their best detective skills to discover the secret, but nothing prepares them–or Spider-Man–for the surprise villain who is pulling all the strings.

I've actually been enjoying this first vampire arc so far. It's something a little bit different and I think the art has been fantastic too. I was a little surprised at how things turned out with scott's backup plan in #5. He's becoming like Batman with all this planning.....

this story's about 2-3 issues too long. i love looking at Medina's art but im ready for this to be over.

Cap? :wow:

The real one or...

Not familiar with Captain America's story.

well that is Steve Rogers Cap, but currently hes not Captain America anymore. its just a cover so i wouldnt read too much into it.

i like their new roles so im cool with him and Bucky. plus Steve's new uniform is slick!

anways back to title, this first arc was pretty underwhelming. it started of kinda retro and refreshing, but it got got drawn out and stale by the end. think i'll be taking a break from this book... at least until Bachalo leaves.

the first arc is done? Im so not interested in this title and I stopped reading it at the 3rd or 4th issue, cant remember which one.

First vampires and now lizards. At this rate, I'm never gonna start reading this book :(

I'm just wondering about the bigger role for Gambit that I was promised. It hasn't happened yet. :(

Pretty sure there's one more issue for the first arc left.

Geez finally read the latest issue.

I think the stories ok, but damn they should just rename this "Cyke and Wolvie adventures".

As with every year, with every relaunch, with every retitling, with every new writer who will "change the face of the x-men"... I'm still waiting for a larger role for Iceman. The occasional ice blast, or comment to the x-kids about being an original x-man isn't exactly prime use of a character with so much history (until 2001) and so much potential to his power.

But no, it's cool. Let's focus on a thousand brawlers as the main team. Long as Cyke fires off a single optic blast every 19th issues or so (seriously, do they even bother with putting Scott in a combat situation anymore?), then that pretty much covers the exotic powers.
