Comics Official (adjectiveless) X-MEN Discussion Thread

Considering it's been well-written with some spectacular art to go along with it, who cares where the story seed comes from?

X-Men #17 COVER SHOWN

I like the FF and the X-Club, so the premise at least sounds decent.

I'd prefer they kept to the regular cast like the spiderman arc, this just seems random.

Screw that. There are too many characters in the X-Men for the writers to stick to the same handful in every comic in every story arc.

I know what you mean, but i mostly mean Storm and Gambit as they arn't appearing in loads of titles.

Why are there "previews" here and in the uncanny forum today of the issues that came out yesterday? Giant, scrollable reminders of what we just read?

1. I put them up yesterday, not today, because not everyone goes out and gets them on the day they come out and figured like usual, some people may want to see them before they go out.

and 2. I was on vacation since friday, and didn't get a chance to put them up until yesterday. No big deal.

Oh crap, I forgot I was buying this one and passed on it this week. Argh.

This has been an awesome X-title....with the coolest logo of all things X. I am gong to miss Yost....

If I were to go back and read First to Last, do I have to have read the previous Spiderman arc or can I ignore that?

i havent read First to Last but im sure you dont. the Spiderman arc has nothing to do with the Celestials, and im sure the Celestials have no interest in kidnapping WOW nerds and turning them into an army of lizardmen...

Nope, "First to Last" is self-inclusive. You do need to pick up the $4.99 "Giant Size X-Men" from a couple months back to get the first part of the story, though.

i think i am still getting used to the whole integrating X-men with the rest of the marvel U aspect..i liked that they always did their own thing...tho that Shang-Chi guest appearance in the late 90s with Pacheco art was pleasing..i remember it over a decade later
