Comics Official (adjectiveless) X-MEN Discussion Thread

Find me a topic I hate that I haven't written paragraphs about at some point. Sisterhood, X-Force, Monet's skin color, the way some stories that are told between events feel like pointless filler. I don't say I hate something and leave it at that. Not unless I'd already written about it at length beforehand.

This might surprise you, but the list of things I currently like about the X-books is much longer.

Lies, slander, and propaganda! Senseless!

Manic, do you hate me yet?

I can never hate you, you bastard.

IA. The hate for this title is overblown. I think the vampire bit is stupid but at least we know it will only be one arc and hey may end up being a surprisingly good story. My biggest concern is that it will simply bc Uncanny 2.0. I really hope it gets more structure after the first arc and gets a defined and distinct cast. I doubt it but thats what I want. I dont want it to be Uncanny in new adventures

Gischler has already said that after the first arc there's going to be a team of five core characters. A smaller team inside the larger army. Like X-Force and New Mutants. He also said that there'll be characters that are rarely used. Hopefully that means Iceman, Dazzler and Gambit. :yay:

I read the interview at mutanthigh.com if you're interested.

I'll read anything with Gambit in it. :D

^ I wish that he'd be in 'New X-Force' instead. They're going after Apocalypse, so it makes perfect sense. Plus, he, Wolverine, Archangel and Psylocke are the most badass X-Men ever, imo.

Psylocke maybe badass but she looks horrible as a vampire never seen her look that fug ...As for gambit he already looks like a vamp all they added was teeth

What the hell, man?! I always give reasons for why I hate stuff. I don't even remember if Outcry ever said why he hates X-Factor.

Indeed i have...I like (most of) the cast of X-Factor..its the writer I can't stand. please report to the X-Factor thread to see my reasons as to why.

It's official. I just don't give a damn about this storyline. I'll wait until the second arc to see if I want to read this title.

I don't think I'll be pickin this up, all this vampire **** sounds boring. Maybe I'll jump on when it's over.

I'm looking forward to it. Vampires are cool, Blade rocks and Storm and Gambit are getting some spotlight. I just hope it turns out good.

Yeah this takign up 6 issues for the first arc of the book was bad enough but I didnt think they'd do oneshots to go along with it. Im assuming the otehr characters which showed up in the promo images will get their own oneshots over those 6 months

Yeah, I'll be buying that Gambit/Storm one shot. :D

Yeah this story wont be as good as the last arc in Captain Britain & MI-13

The X-men andd vampires dont mix. Ive always found those stories boring. I didnt care for it when Storm got bit and they dealt wtih Dracula or when Monet was turned into a Vamprie Slayer. I think this is a weak premise to jumpstart the X-men's new role within the MU. Oh well at least it will be temporay. I only fear that they might continue to be a recurring theme within this book which will eventually pop up from time to time

I'm happy to see Blade back bouncing around the MU again-though I don't know if vampires and X Men mix. I am willing to give it a try, though like Squeeks, a lot has to do with the fact that Gambit has a bigger role to play in this than in anything else recently. I don't have any high expectations about the plot.

ill probably check out the first issue, mostly because Medinas on art, but the whole plot w/ vampires sounds lame.
