**** Logan!!

No need to hate.

I have collected comics featuring Logan for so long.....I just really enjoy reading about him. Why so much hate on him? I know Marvel over uses him, he is used for cashola and I wish that was not the case - but that really has nothing to do with the character himself. He is a solid character IMO, and there is so many stories that could be told with him. His power set is awesome (before him you would never hear about regeneration) and he is obviously quite popular. Is the hate because the characters everyone else likes do not get the "face time" that he does?

I think the hate (and I sometimes share it, though not so much lately) is a mixture of oversaturation and a mishandling of his character.

When he's in 6 or so books a month and being portrayed differently in each book... from a biker, to an honor bound man, to a father figure, to a psychopath... it just gets old. Fortunately, they seem to be getting him back to a decent personality so I don't mind as much. I still hate how oversaturated he is.

I agree that there is an oversaturation of Wolverine. Not just that but since he is so spread out most of those stories either have him outof character or they are just weak and offer no real development. His story really hasn't moved much lately, more like him going around hacking people or taking most of the cannon fire in a fight because the writers know he can't get really hurt. :(

I agree that he is all over, but that is not the characters fault....right? Marvel does need to use him better - and more consitantly. I like the vision or Remender and the writer who will be writing the new Wolverine series - the old Claremont version of Wolverine is the one I enjoy reading. Not the cannonball in the face version that some write him as.

I hope Bendis will do him justice.....I hope.

Because they have ****ed over Cyclops and are slowly making Wolverine the all out leader of the X-Men and Cyclops isn't even my favorite character!! :cmad:

I actually still find Cyclops an interesting character. A "villain" but he still believes he's doing the right in the end. I'm excited for the new Uncanny X-Men.....except for the artist.

Anyone else find it unintentionally funny that the O5 look like they're ready for church even though future Beast dropped in when they were supposed to be having some down time?

Maybe there was a dress code at the school, lol. :p

True statement. But again, thats not the characters fault. Cyclops, unlike Wolverine, had gotten stale. This was a big change for him, but one I think that was needed. He had to grow or change.....Wolverine doesnt have to. I feel that Storm and Wolverine will take the leadership role now, and I am fine with that. Cyclops is going to lead his team, and this gives us two groups of X-Men to read about.

Issue #4 was amazing. I am really onboard with what Bendis is doing, and the Jean Grey/Cyclops dynamic is just very well written. Outstanding read.

I realised something reading issue 4 out of everyone in the world Jean would be able to affact Scott in more ways than one especially the younger version. Yes I know they grew and moved on believe it or not I liked him with Emma however your one true love will always have an influence of some kind over you. Got a feeling now that Emma's psychic powers are on the fritz Jean may switch teams.

What does the writer have to do with it? It's the artist that didn't do Hank any favors. :(

I'm sure the artist was given instructions to change Hank's appearance and maybe even notes on how it should look.

Only problem I have is how incredibly small his head looked on his body. Beast mutating more and more was never a problem what I had a problem with was a man with ape like abilities turning into a flipping cat.

To be honest, I have no idea who determines that. Marvel? The writer? Who knows? :)

not sold on the new beast look yet
would have to see the new look in action first

i do like the direction they are taking the series in though

Yeah, the story is still great and I am happy I didn't let the book pass by me. :)

The issue was awesome and Beast's new look isn't as horrible as it was yesterday(knee-jerk internet reaction, guilty as charged). I actually can't wait for young Warren to meet his present self. He's not dead, but boy is he nuts :hehe:

Yeah, I feel bad for him too, poor dear. These X-men have all been through the wringer, one way or another.

Iceman's the exception. I'm glad to see that he's doing more with his power but I'm ready for the man to move up the X-Men ranks beyond jokester. He's nearly done it a time or two and then someone always regresses him back... the best example being Operation Zero Tolerance.

I'd love to see Bendis have Bobby see how all the other X-Men have changed through the years but he's still very similar to his younger self... then he'll decide to step it up and start taking charge.

Maybe Bobby can be Bendis' X-Man Luke Cage :D

Beast is the only one who's changed for the better. So if I had to choose between staying a jokester or being dead, responsible for Xavier's murder, or resurrected with amnesia...I'm choosing jokester.

I agree that it'd be cool if Bendis made Bobby his pet project though. I have faith that he won't be obnoxious about it like Carey was with Rogue. I'll give Bendis that much.

Anybody else notice Wolverine was advocating murdering an innocent teenager in the last issue and none of the X Men really seemed to disagree?

Also while the main X Men are sitting around whining about how to punish Cyclops for being possessed by an entity that's possessed other members of the team in the past, did anybody else notice Cyc is actually trying to help mutants?
