Well, that's rude. :o

Just because I don't have my contacts in. :waa:

Batman Inc would be my favorite, followed by The Dark Knight.

Haven't read Dark Knight issue zero yet though

These I'm not sure about. For whatever reasons, I don't think any of them have been referenced. We've seen nor heard anything about Bane, or anything about Azrael in the new timeline - nothing about Gordon being shot by Catwoman - nothing about Two-Face or Calendar Man - nothing about Cassandra.

Bane was the villain in the first arc of Dark Knight and it was confirmed him breaking Batman's back is still in continuity

Aha. Thank you for the correction (that goes to you, too, Mr. Sexton). I wasn't reading The Dark Knight at that time.

Was Dick ever Batman?

Dick's internal monologue in Nightwing #1 directly mentions that he's returning to his Nightwing identity after having spent a year as Batman.

Batman Incorporated #0 also shows Dick's Batman briefly, though Dick isn't identified by name.

Aside from that? I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere. I suspect going forward it will only be referenced in Batman Incorporated, if at all--and once Morrison is gone, it will be quietly swept under the rug and never mentioned again (and probably contradicted, too).

Shame. The best part of Dick as Batman (aside from having DOUBLE THE BATMAN) was that everybody wrote him as an A-lister. He had grown up. Now (thanks mostly to Higgins) he's written like a chump B-lister again. Lame.

Dick is, was, and always will be B-List. :o

Cassandra was in Batman Incorporated as Black Bat. Is that no longer in continuity?

Was she? I forgot about that. I guess it's out, then. Oh well, probably safer for Cass if she doesn't exist so long as the current regime is in charge.

A B-lister could never be the most well known DC character outside of the trinity. :o
Robin is well known for the same reason Aquaman is well known. :o

Has the Nightwing ongoing been that bad then

Also how was Talon?

I didnt really bother to check it out this month didnt seem all that interesting to me. Is it worth buying

talon was alright. need more issues to decide.

higgins = teh suck

Honestly, I know it's a minority opinion, but I don't think Dick has been written well since the mid-80s. And even then, he wasn't a favorite of mine.

I hated how Dixon wrote him, he was boring under Tomasi, Morrison didn't do anything with him - he was just kind of a straight man to Damian and the villains' ridiculousness, and the Black Mirror didn't actual explore anything about how character at it. It was good because the story was good - not for anything Dick did as a character.

Batman #0 was boring as hell, save for the backstory. Tec#0 was ok. Batman inc#0 was really great, and I didn't know Irving was the artist, so that was a great surprise. It was entertaining and full of surprises, once again. But I knew I was in for a treat with this one. That's why TDK#0 is the biggest surprise for me. the art was outstanding, and the story itself was engaging and moving. They succeeded, imo in writing a story that doesn't seem too familiar, and yet is not different just for the sake of being different. It's a story that works, because Bruce is well written. You can't help but feel for the dude. You can feel his loneliness, his sadness, and you understand his needs to understand the meaning of things. It adds a lot of depth to his journey.

Also, Grayson is awesome. I'm glad they didn't erase his time as Batman.

Dick Grayson should be the 3rd most important male in the DC universe. He is the son of Batman and the nephew of Superman. I think what really hurt him over the years is Frank Miller. When he wrote TDKR and made everyone forget about Adam West camp, he didn't do anything with Grayson and the stink of Burt Ward was in everyone's mind.

He replaced him with a 13 year old girl for ****'s sake.

Those people grew up with Burt Ward and started writing comics and they didn't have any emotional attachment to him.

****ing Burt Ward.

Every time I try to write this sentence, it sounds... weird. But Dick is awesome. Period.

Pfffftttt

Lesbians have better parties anyway

And we shall not invite you :ninja:

Devin Grayson did a good job of writing him I thought, up until she had Tarantula taffy him on a rooftop
