The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

It just seemed- to me- to be a pretty trivial thing to dwell on, especially for the amount of time that he did. It completely changed the subject, which had been their enthusiasm for the film.
And it was a little brutal, too. But I guess that no one is listening to Howard for his kindness and discretion.

Perhaps this is a man you don't understand. Some men aren't looking for anything logical, they can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want the hawt chicks.

In Batman Begins, I think a serviceable job was done in portraying that Bruce has always been in love with Rachel, so he was going to love her no matter what she grew up to look like....but it didnt hurtthat Katie Holmes is smoking hot. In this film, I am prepared to assume that the trait that made Bruce fall in love also worked their magic on Harvey...I do not find Maggie attractive at all really.

To be fair, Howard did place his criticism within the context of a little self-abuse. He said it made as much sense as it would if he were to make a movie in which beautiful women were powerfully attracted to his handsome self.

I'm reading the bad reviews, and as I predicted, the bulk of them are complaining that it isnt light-hearted childrens fare. These people, and much of the general blic, will never understand that comic books have evolved. Besides, there are a certain number of critics who dont want the movie to be good, and will bash any superhero movie that ever comes out, based solely on it being a superhero.

Here's my thoughts of Maggie: There's SOMETHING about her...I mean, because she has that 'something' I would date in a heart beat.

I agree, there's something about her that makes me want to totally hit that! :p :bh:

She's has a cutesy girly personality. That makes her very sexy. And Maggie is not that unattractive. She's not hot but she's not a beast either.

Oh, and I just went to imdb, and saw that they have counted 189 positive reviews for TDK so far. No new negatives, there are still only 10 negatives.

If all those positives were uploaded now, then TDK would be sitting at 95%.

If I saw her in high school, we'd hang, but I wouldn't be with my boys saying, "man, I wanna get with that!" Honestly, I wouldn't.

Where did you find that on IMDB? Is it in the message boards?

Of course not b/c with your boys you're trying to establish an identity that is socially increased by pining after and hooking up with hot chicks and further distances you from the rampant homophobia that is a staple of adolescent male social circles.

So true, very funny

Maggie is gorgeous, endearing, sweet and has such a lovely voice. She's a dream girl, much more than some hollywood type siliconed blonde bimbo. It's the kind of girl Bruce Wayne would actually fall for.

The Dark Knight is going strong with a 91% over at rottentomatoes!... I knew it and I never doubted it! I said it yesterday (when it was on 89%), that the movie's score would rise at least another 6%, and it's already showing... This movie will keep rising over at rotten, ending up somewhere between 95-100%!

The sun gave is 4.5 out of 5 stars.. thats a big suprise considering the dark nature of the movie and the suns ULTRA conservative views. SWEET!
CANNOT ****ING WAIT till my first day off

What is funny is that in my local newspaper (they gave it a glowing review as well) they said due to the various themes of the film that conservatives would love it. I thought it was a pretty big stretch to say the movie is an analogy for the war on terror, but whatever. If that makes them like the movie, more power to them I guess.

BAAAArGH
STephen Hunter is a good critic
I always follow his stuff

anyways RT gave his review a rotten
its actually a 70% on metacritic
it makes a difference especially in the Top critic section RT better change that

Exactomundo.

I disliked high school.

I think is a fitting analogy, [blackout]especially with the sonar cell phone bit (cough anonymous wiretapping) [/blackout]although the film does not state whether it's a good or bad thing. It just reflects on our own society, that's all.

Batman also has one rule that he will not break, and it remains to be seen whether we have the same commitment.
