The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

Particularly if it is directed by Paul Anderson, Michael Bay or McG.

I feel like we are on the absolute peak right now. Makes me shudder to think how disappointed people will be when Batman: Riddle Me This is released in 2010.

riddle me this???
Bwhahagagahahahaahaahabahgahaga

Oh lord would you look at this! Now, TDK is at 93% over at rotten... Who was it that said they didn't believe this movie would go up that high??? Some of you didn't believe it, so dont deny it!.... Still dont believe this movie will round up somewhere between 95-100%!!!??? You wait and see, I'll show ya!
I thought this would be 87-92

if it goes above 93
Ill be on the street dancing naked with a batman mask on:brucebat::hehe:

The only other critics I'd like to hear from are Leonard Maltin and Jeffrey Lyons!

Lyons will be on saturday i think on Reel Talk. Thats why we havent heard his yet. It will likely be positive though, suggested from comments in a news piece about TDK. He said something on the lines of the film will stir things up in the way comic films are seen.

I'll own up to it. I was one who said TDK won't end up with 90 or more on the RT! I will never be more happy to eat my words when it's all said and done!

By the way, E! gives it an A:

Review in a Hurry: Holy transcendence of genre, Batman! This epic struggle between the caped crusader (Christian Bale) and his nemesis the Joker (Heath Ledger) has a lot more on its mind than biff, bam and pow—and delivers on every operatic promise it makes.

The Bigger Picture: It's almost unfair to call The Dark Knight a sequel. Director Christopher Nolan has crafted a Batman film of such devastating impact, it practically obliterates the memory of its predecessors—including Nolan's own Batman Begins.

When we last left Gotham City's dark protector, his life and home were in a shambles, but so was crime in the city. Now crusading DA Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is looking to finish the job Batman started—but there's still plenty of fight left in the mob, not to mention the matter of a certain psychopath in smeared clown makeup who wants to make life interesting for everyone.

And so begins a sprawling, thrilling story of revenge, redemption, and the definition of heroism. Everything about The Dark Knight is definitive, in fact. Bale is essentially playing three roles—dapper, vacant playboy Bruce Wayne, his more contemplative private self and the simmering superhero—and nails them all. And there's almost no way to praise Ledger's bravura take on The Joker except to say that you've got to see it to believe it—not since Hannibal Lecter has a villain been so terrifying, so engaging and so memorable.

Between them, Batman and The Joker are doing battle for the soul of a city—and it's never clear who's going to be the winner. It's a titanic battle between not just men but ideas, a grand thing indeed for a dynamite summer film about a masked vigilante, and so good, it's a pity you'll only be able to see it for the first time once.

The 180—a Second Opinion: This may be the year's most heartbreaking film. Ledger's performance is so incandescent, it hurts to know he won't ever have the chance at it again.

I still bet Ras and the league would whoop Jokers ass for what hes done in this film. :word:

By the way, have you read some of the criticisms about Dent's use of the coin-flip? A few write about how it seems old because the villain did the same thing in No Country for Old Men!

Of course, we all know...Dent did it first!

Keep in mind guys that we still probably have about 70 more reviews to go. Not to sound pessimistic, but it could still drop a few percentage points.

Assuming the last batch of reviews hate the movie.

That belief probably comes from the two-face cartoon of Tommy Lee Jones. It doesnt have the same impact as something like Old Men, so people feel its the originator.

I have no way of knowing, but I'm willing to bet that it'll be more of the same.

95% super positive reviews and about 5% kinda negative reviews.
