The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

"STOP!
Do I sound unreasonable? Perhaps a little silly? Like I'm off in the head?
Good!
If and when we are privileged to get another Batman film helmed by Chris Nolan and his great team, perhaps one can reserve judgment, refrain from nitpicking, and be willing to give “Team Nolan” the benefit of the doubt…
UNTIL ONE SEES THE DAMN FILM!
So, did we learn a lesson? Based on history, probably not."

Sorry but all that he says in TDK sucking is kind of true. Like him saying Alfred isn't bald and sporting a mustache.

Actually, he's actually making fun of people that think those things can break or make a movie.

Calm down people! lol.

But yeah i agree with thinking the tomatoes rating system is bogus.

has nothing to do with the Rt rating system it equals 94% now thats fine

just the critic is an idiot for having such an odd rating system

the whole review he presented was mostly positive
and he gives it a B
and evrybody knows a B doesnt equal 50% in any grading system
and because of this idiot the movie goes down a percentage

I can't decide whether Jett is even thicker than he looks, or looks even thicker than he is.

OPINION: THE DARK KNIGHT SUCKS!

"How many times...have I seen...THE DARK KNIGHT?"
*mouths* "Eight."
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought it was “All THAT” and everything when I first saw it. And sure, it’s making tons of money from people all over the world flocking to see it. BUT…
My subsequent viewings of this movie have led me to one irrefutable conclusion: THE DARK KNIGHT sucks.
That’s right, it’s crap and an embarrassment of a “Batman” film.
“How can you say that Jett,” I know you are probably asking yourself. We’ll let me spell it out for y’all.
The Joker doesn’t wear makeup, he’s "permawhite." He fell into a vat of chemicals and came out with white skin, green hair, and red lips. That didn’t happen in TDK, therefore, that ain't “The Joker.”
Plus, Heath Ledger’s nose wasn’t near long enough for The Joker -- The real Joker has a big-ass nose, you know? And a Jay Leno-ish chin. And he’s like “hasn't ate in a week” skinny.
Chris Nolan wants to pass this off to us as The Joker? Please!
And when it comes to this so-called “Batman.” Ha!
What’s up with this “black armor” crap? Everyone knows that Batman wears tights. He goes out and kicks the hell out of criminals wearing a leotard dammit!
And where are the dadgum outside-the-suit underpants?! If Christian Bale ain’t wearing blue -- not black -- underpants on the outside of his tights, then he ain’t Batman!
Harvey Dent/Two Face sucked!
Where’s the crazy half and half suit? Two Face MUST have a suit that’s goofy and all crazy on one side, and be a regular business suit on the other! And why wasn’t his face perfectly split right down the middle? That’s how it is in the comics and that’s the way is HAS to be!
And his coin! It HAS to be clean on one side, and all scratched up on the other? Burnt? WTF is up with THAT?! And he should’ve been flipping in constantly. Just flipping it like a nervous twitch!
Plus, why didn’t Nolan make him all schizo and everything? He should have ALWAYS referred to himself as “we.” That’s just wrong!
Gotham City sucked too.
I didn’t see one damn gargoyle -- NOT A ONE! Gotham is FULL of Gargoyles, right?! Since there weren’t no damn gargoyles and all other types of macabre and weird stuff, that sure as hell wasn’t Gotham!
Gotham should be all night, all the time. Like INSOMNIA, but in reverse, you know what I'm saying?
Why isn’t Jim Gordon smoking a pipe constantly?
Why isn’t Alfred bald and sporting a mustache?
No black goo?!
And where the HELL is Aunt Harriet?
STOP!
Do I sound unreasonable? Perhaps a little silly? Like I'm off in the head?
Good!

Jett picking at the nit picky fanboys here is great......:joker:

Wait...w..what? Burton's movies had 9/11 analogies? What?

LOL, no.

They were two seperate points.

The critic bashed DK because it wasn't gothic like Burtons (no heard THAT before).

Then, more annoyingly, debased DK saying it was almost entirely a thinly veiled 9/11. He then said it was wrong because the Joker wasn't a proper terrorist like Osama Bin Laden (just a force of nature).

He also disputed Alfred's "some people just want to watch the world burn" line saying thats not a terrorist, just a pyromaniac. Its as though he missed the entire point of the film, missing the actual themes (escalation and limits) to crowbar his own agenda and desires.

He's an assclown of the highest level, I've no idea why he gets paid by a fairly decent paper to not even scratch the surface. Thats not because I value his opinion or even because I disagree, its because he made no effort at all.

i didnt reall think it was alluding to 9/11 itself, but terrorism on a whole and the effects it has on our moral code. alfreds point was interesting..
BRUCE: "did you catch the bandit?"
ALFRED: "yes"
BRUCE: "how?"
ALFRED: "we burnt the forrest down"
it could sorta be linked to vietnam aswell, the fact that the us just bombed the **** out of it instead of winning "the hearts and minds" like they set out to do. but they cant really be blamed for that because that war was very different than any other war.

Yes - one point is that it makes a reference to terrorism in general.

One of the amazing things about this film is that its relevance to the world - due to the timeless nature of terrorism - will never be lost.

Just one reason why this film is elevated above most, if not all, other comic films so far.

Who cares? Movie critics suck and are elitist. I will only read a review for amusement, not to sway me in any way on a movie. I don't even know how some of these guys become critics, since many complaints for films I have read in a critic review have been horrendously stupid.

Ebert I think is the worst cause he has an "I am the best attitude." The ultimate in elitist critics.

Critics get paid to not like things. And I bet they spend all day trying to think of clever quips and puns for titles too.

what a silly website...its not even like its completely negative. theres a 'good' section. there are barely five points under any of the critical ones. what a hack! spending the time to register the domain name and photoshop the banner. jesus. some people just....i hope theres a spider man 3 sucks website somewhere out there or else we're all doomed.

That's what gets me. He paid for the domain. My God...

You signed up just to post that didn't you?

A complete ******ed critic here in Portugal (from a respected newspaper) didn't enjoy the film and stated something incredible stupid like this:

The Dark knight takes itself so serious and trys so hard to hurt and beat Batman, that makes us forgive and miss Joel Schumacher for taking Batman to Las Vegas...

Such a dumbass it's hard to believe. The debate has been going strong about Burton/Nolan... But this is just a braindead critic trying to be a smart dub ass...

If there's one thing I hate, is the trendy ****ting on Burton's Batman. Maybe its a nostalgic kind of thing, but its offensive to those of us who grew up on it when we were young and still have a place in our heart for the movie. It wasn't perfect, but it still deserves it's own merits and recognition.

The timing of Spider-Man '02 (in correlation with the events of September 11th) was really freaky, in lack of a better word. I remember watching the original trailer. Out of respect, they took it down. Rightfully so.
