The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

They were just talking about TDK on 1st and 10 on ESPN. Skip Bayless didn't like it, that d-bag never likes anything... but Stephen A. Smith thought it was phenomenal.

Yeah I never take stock into anything Skip Bayless has to say...he really is a moron.

I specifically remember when he suggested that Peyton Manning deliberately let the Colts fall behind in the 06' AFC Championship game against the Pats just so he can perform a miraculous come from behind victory.

Skip Bayless = F'N IDIOT.

Stephen A. Smith = AWESOME.

Skip Bayless is a tool shed.

I think BOTH Bayless and Smith are morons and I can't stand either of them! They are both the same type of person....obnoxious idiots who just want attention. They are two sports personalities that I avoid listening to.

Stephen A. Smith is the man. Best basketball analyst out of any of them. Skip Bayless is a ****ing d-bag.

The BBC liked it, especially Bale's performance:

I don't really agree with this guy's critique of Heath Ledger's performace. If you get the impression that Ledger is "screaming look at me" throught the flic, that's only because of the character he is portraying, i.e., a sadistic, madman of a clown for crying out loud! With that said, Ledger was so natural and "free", that his mere presence was enough to keep your eyes glued on him. Early on in the film, Gamble says to Joker, "You think you can just steal our money and get away with it??" to which Joker simply replies, "Yes." In my theatre, audiences were just thrilled with this response - one which felt so natural and cool. How many actors/actresses can move an audience by simply uttering a single word - a word we all use constantly every day of our lives?? Not many. Now, I've seen many over the top performances on the big and small screen, as I'm sure you all have, but this was certainly not one of them.

Don't get me wrong. Bale is a great actor and gives us all a fantastic Batman portrayal, but it is in other films (not TDK) that he has delivered Oscar or near-Oscar worthy performances (i.e., The Machinist, The Prestige). Hell, the guy who wrote this article doesn't even say why he thinks Bale should be nominated instead of Heath. Odd.

If it was up to the BBC they give Bale the Oscar. Not a bad choice I would say.

I saw another BBC article this morning that described Bale as a bore. I didn't bother reading it for obvious reasons. Cool to see this guy giving Bale some credit though, although I don't agree with his critique of Ledger.

^ Of course they had to be a small group of negative reviews!.... But they truely dont bother me. This is not a matter of discution; THE DARK KNIGHT IS ONE OF THE BEST (IF NOT THE BEST) MOVIE EVER MADE!!! (I used to think that would be wishful thinking, but Nolan has shown Us that it's not).

So those negative critics (excuse the language) can pack up their **** and get the **** out of dodge!!! This movie is aaaaaaaaaaall that and WAY more!

The movie is a master piece no doubt and I still give it a 9.5/10 But my Critics goes for ALL the Batman movie so far. that include Timburton & Shumacher.

Tell me If I'm wrong but I have the filling that Batman doesn't evolve that much. In every movie it ends with batman finding the final clue then going floor by floor beating guys one by one. Which I really like. But that's the only thing the audience knows about Batman But Batman he's also a very clever guy who likes to study his opponent so that he can beat them in their own games and I Hope Nolan didn't forget about that cause the previous directors did.:csad:. Other than that it's perfect!.
Peter Bradshaw at the Guardian loved it! http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2008/jul/25/actionandadventure1

Keep in mind, he gave Iron Man ** stars and The Incredible Hulk * star!
great review but i really really really hate the guardian. they care more about the enviroment than the economy!! thats whats wrong with britain today they are spending all the money on this "lets go green!" bollox when there much more important stuff to be spending it on!!! its makes me sooooooo angry!!!

Very well said. It is the way the character is. And Ledger performed him brilliantly. I got the same effect from Ennis del Mar and boy he was quiet.

Very well said again.

I'm not pointing out anyone here (directly) but may i point out that it's always kinda weird to see new people with little to no posts being so outspoken with their reviews....hmm.
