It's not about screentime, but its about killing him and nobody caring. The whole movie has a nightmarish quality.
Scott never had alot to do in the films, but at least we had hope for the future.

Having Scott comatose at Alkali Lake only to wake up after the end credits would have been better because that is a ray of hope for the future... It would have been enough to appease the studio, accomadate Jimmy's schedule, and please the fans!

When was the last time that they cared about the fans?
All they care about is money.

So true. Painfully true.

No, but we do get tired of some people getting here and telling us not to do what they don't like.
This is a Cyclops' thread, and we don't mind repeating a certain things over and over again as long as they stay on topic.

if x3 actually gave us something real to talk about cyclops.. then yeah we would prolly be talking about something else.. but since cyclops had 2 seconds of screen time, expect a lot of repetitions..

Taintedfb, I agree with what you're saying. This movie gives no ray of hope except for Xavier, and to be honest after what he does I really don't give a rat's ass about him being alive. I'd be happy if moira screamed "no, you bastard!" and strangled him back dead in bed.

Showing Scott survived would indeed offer a ray of hope for the future. but there is no hope. This is the last stand. If another villain hits town like the Hellfire Club or Apoc, this world is so screwed.

Unless... Scott DID survive....all we can cling to now, is the hope that having him die off-screen allows for a way to bring him back...

I would really like to see him captured by Sinister or being manipulated by Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club. Jimmy is capable of SO Much, if they'd only give him the material!

I think the damage of X3 is fixable, if a sequel is put in competent hands...

Cyclops Character is very Dynamic in character....Just look at how his characters triats are split up by logan and Storm....Headmaster and Leader of the X-men

Oh I absolutely agree! What I meant was with a title like "The Last Stand", you can't draw much hope from that. Only from sequels at this point. That movie wasn't meant to make us feel good and hopeful.

Oh indeed! The biggest tragedy is you have such a fine cast and don't give the potential to deliver at their best.

Indeed it can be. Bishop2 did a fine job of giving us a sequel that isn't ******ed, that doesn't suddenly bring everyone back, or have logan dry-humping Jean first chance he gets. Personally I feel that X3 went too far and a sequel would be more about damage control. On every author's priority would be trying to undue some of X3's damages before continuing on with the story.

That guy's a big hypcorite anyway. He's been trolling this thread for months repeating the same crap.

Does somebody happen to know, if a second "Ultimate X-Men: Ultimate Collection" is planned?

well, it is marked with a volume number, but it seems kind of silly to repackage all the trades in twos and call it ultimate collection when all the trades are available separately... unless they stop printing the individual ones, which i don't believe they have.

someone in this thread might know more: http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=231043

Thanks for the reply.

You can't just go out and buy the separate volumes in a shop over here in lalaland.
I had to order the book at amazon and was very glad that it got released.
I think the book includes one whole year of Ultimate X-Men comic books.

yeah, it has the first two arcs. (which were released separately as trade paperback volumes 1 and 2)

you should be able to find the rest of the volumes on amazon or various online comic book stores. even eBay. i don't know what lalaland means -- i've only heard it in reference to LA -- but if you search amazon.com books for "ultimate x-men" in brackets all the separate trades pop up.

eta: by brackets i mean quotation marks

I'm living in Europe and you hardly get any other comic books than Mickey Mouse in the stores here, which made it a pretty nice deal to get some volumes in one book for a good price.

oh okay. Bastila is in England (i think) and she has a tough time with it too. She gets hers off eBay. I got almost all of my trades online from a Canadian bookstore and only one in an actual comic book store.

Wasn't my idea. Just go and vote.
Hehe it's a public vote... we should e-mail bomb everybody who votes for Logan or something :o

I voted for Scott...-raises hand- i have my reasons. In a way, Jean loves logan but in a caring kind of way... thinking back to the comics where Jean kicks sabertooth's ass.
