Maybe we'll have to bring Stan Lee himself personally telling FOX and Marvel that he didn't invent X-Men to just let ONLY ONE of them shine?
I just don't know how those Batman fans made it, and I no longer have enough faith in those money-obsessed filmmakers..........Guess I'm a little depressed from all of the let down since X3 came out....I really thought Scott and Jean will have their moments before the reality crashed in:(

Yup. So cheesy!

I envy the princess though... James Marsden and Patrick Dempsey -- who will she choose?

To me it's no contest...Jimmy all the way.

I'm more of a JM fangirl, but I do heart me some Patrick Dempsey.

Oh, and I recommend the latest X-Men Fairy Tales to everyone on this thread... it's a Scott/Jean/Logan sort of thing, but obviously in a whole other universe. Scott is a blind tailor and Jean is a princess.

The art is stylistic thing -- some people probably won't like it, but the story was very sweet.

And if you check it on websites, it was supposed to be Fairy Tales #4 but it got switched up.

As a whole though, and I hate to say this, but in my mind I believe we Cyclops fans have to take some blame as well. We didn't really fight for Cyclops from the beginning like we should've.

I think most expected Cyke to play a bigger part in X3, because it was pretty much clear that they'd go for the Phoenix storyline after the end of X2.
And after the uproar concerning the script-spill of Scott's early death people in charge came out and said that they changed a lot, which meant for a lot of us, that we expected that they must have changed Scott's death.

Little did we know at that point that they were lying to us the whole time. :( :down :down

I think thats what we all wanted and expected instad we get stupid Logan i hate him lol.

But Scott is not dead, if they wanted him dead they would have shown his death, James said they didn't want to show an on screen death incase they want him back which they should have brought him back in X3 that way he could have saved Jean from death or he would have killed either way it would have been better and cool to see him come in for that final battle.

What was there to fight? It was obvious from jump that Wolvie was the star of this franchise, and they were going to do whatever it took to keep him front and center, from keeping Gambit out of the franchise, to keeping Cyke and Prof. X in the background. Cyke fans voiced their concerns from the very beginning and everyone from Avi to Penn and Ratner and Kinberg lied about elements of the film. Hell, it was our concern that likely helped in getting Fox to relent and allow Cyclops and Marsden in the film! There was a ton of ruckus for that brief period where everyone except Marsden and Cumming where confirmed to return. Avi had to announced 'of course, he's (Marsden) coming back' remember?

Barring flying up to the production and hijacking it, what more could have been done? And in the end, the movie was the rousing financial success they wanted, so they don't regret a damn thing, of that you can be sure. Cyke was simply a casuality of the almighty dollar. It bites, but it is what it is.

Even if Scott is not "dead dead", he was "dead" for the rest of the movie.

Also some info on the film:

Enchanted is a Disney film currently in production. It uses both traditional 2D animation and live-action - the animation depicts the fantasy/fairy tale world, and the live-action depicts New York. Giselle (Amy Adams), a girl from an animated world is thrown out by the evil Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon) into live-action New York, where the girl falls for a man living in the city. The film will be the first live-action/animation film by Disney since 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Legendary Disney music composer Alan Menken will be providing the film's original score.

Confirmed cast -- Amy Adams as Giselle, Susan Sarandon as Queen Narissa and James Marsden as Prince Edward. In negotiations -- Patrick Dempsey as Robert and Idina Menzel as Nancy. Tentative release date is November 2, 2007.

^^^ Hey Scott&Jean, I like the quote in your sig block. Puts some nice perspective on this 2+1 movie series, doesn't it?

Wow, I'm glad the ol' Cyclops thread is still trucking along. Haven't checked in here in a while. How's every little thing? Did we win yet?

X-Men 3 should be hitting my local "last run" budget theater pretty soon, and I think I'll be taking it in a second time. Maybe I'll form some new opinions from the experience.

Have you guys seen this "Cowboy Critic" review for 'Superman Lives'? I'm linking it because it contains a referenc to both Cyclops and X-Men (because of the James connection, natch). That, and it's a hilarious little review.

My post-X4 "Cyclops Lives" story is up to Chapter 17. Chapter 18 should be up tomorrow, and will focus on the mad skillz of Cyke as leader.
