The Avengers Official Easter Egg/Reference Thread

Noticed a few more things on my 2nd viewing today:

-Bruce Banner is wearing a purple shirt instead of purple pants.

-at the end with the news report of New York citizens thanking the Avengers there's a shot of a street artist with lots of Avenger drawings and another of Tony Stark painted on a wall.

Talking about the news reports at the end of the movie --- I noticed one of the shots at "Stuttgart" had a huge banner on the museum that said "THE AVENGERS" in the classic, old-school font:

avengers-1.jpg

One of the news monitors says "Avengers Assemble to save Manhattan".

So I guess it is in the film. Sort of.

Noticed this after my third viewing. The scene when Fury shows Iron Man and Captain America Agent Coulson's Card collection. In the lower right hand corner there is a screen with a map of Africa show and an arrow like beacon continuously points to the center of Africa.

With all the Wakanda references, I'll be disappointed if they don't work it into the main plot *somehow*.

So I've seen some people here say a character from Thor comics named Shawnda Lynde is in the film, but where exactly? What does she do in the movie? I don't remember her at all.

What wakanda references? Thanks

End of Iron Man 2 an African country is Highlighted on the Map When Fury is talking to Tony

Same country is highlighted in the Avengers on the hellicarrier right after Agent Coulson dies.

I hope the sequel doens't take the Avengers out of their environment and into Wakanda, I like my superhero battles taking place in the big city not jungles or safaris.

so every avengers film should be in a city? that's not repetitive at all.....

Yeah, was wondering about that, too.

The Avengers spent more time fighting off the *planet,* let alone outside New York City.

Avengers should go wherever the story/threat takes them

I think a subplot involving bp/wakanda/vibranium would work best in a cap movie. Or a bw movie if they make one.

Call me crazy, but I think a subplot involving Black Panther/Wakanda/vibranium would work best in a Black Panther movie.

There's never been a superhero movie that took place in a jungle, so how would you know you prefer cities to it?

You are crazy. :o

(and by that I mean I agree)

You're crazy. But seriously though, I'm just talking an introduction. I still want him to have his own movie, and I want him to be a part of future Avengers movies.

How to go about that is an open question at this point.

He will get his own movie before he appears in Avengers

Vibranium is the only thing that worked against Mjolnir....So Im guessing the will need to to defeat Thanos somehow. Just my random guess.

Posted this in the Hulk thread but for those who dont check it -

When Tony and Bruce are talking and the screen is between them, Bruce's reflection is that of Hulks face, not his own. Even with the green tinge! Its so subtle..so much so that I was told im wrong lol..but it's there. Woo, first person in the world to notice it! :woot:

THE PHANTOM...kind of.

This is more of a personal easter egg thing.
The Helicarrier's hull is 64
My first ship in the navy was an aircraft carrier with the hull number 64, USS Constellation
The helicarrier is a refitted version of my old ship

I've seen the film 3 times since someone posted this, it's bogus. It's just marks normal reflection

If you say so ;) now others can go in and look out for it and come back an tell us what they saw
