YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH BOYYYYYYYYYYYY

:oldrazz:

flav is younger and more livley :o c'mon and with new york, step aside anna paquin we got the perfect rogue and gambit

People i can clearly see now the solution to Gambit's casting problem.
Get an actor with talent and looks and take BB king to do the voice...:woot::woot::woot::woot:

Well have then a goodlooking talented actor that will walk and look like Gambit and a voice actor that will sound like gambit. ALL-IN-ONE.

No as Gambit, but yes as the Mutant-with-narrow-hips-that-somehow-manage-to-hold-his-jeans-up... must be a specialized form of telekinesis. :D

PS: Wasn't he in that horrible train wreck of a movie The Covenant?

I have no clue. I saw the pictures on some other forum with no name attached. I haven't seen Covenant, nor will I ever. I'm not too impressed with movies that use special effects to make up for horrible plot and casting, and the Covenant seemed to be just another movie for the teen goth/emo masses. Main reason why I don't watch any vampire movies made after the eighties.

Yeah, I don't think we should base our suggestions on how well defined their abs are. No offence LaReaux. :)

I still think Josh Holloway should be casted, if Gambit ever makes an appearance at all. However, we've been through hundreds of different suggestions on this thread and each one has been shot down, normally because of mealy mouthed opinions of age or looks. Some are even shot down because people don't like a show they're on.

Personally, I don't care who they get as long as the actor does justice to the character. I could deal with a passing resemblance or a faulty accent as long as they get the personality and spirit down.

I often wonder which is more dangerous to a franchise; the impossibly picky fans, or the clueless directors looking for a quick buck.

well he is too old and doesnt really have the looks,he cant look way too old next to paquin and he isnt that great of an actor,i love lost but he doesnt help the show get any better

Once and for all, **** Paquin. Gambit is a character all on his own and doesn't need to be defined by a relationship. While I admit it has a good premise, he doesn't have to be attached to Rogue on every spin off.

If you truly must suck every bit of personality out of Gambit and make him little more then a walking cliche Ken doll, then maybe Rogue should be recasted to someone who can actually act since she'll be carrying both roles.

well duh, this is all discussed in theory. I'm gonna be the first to say that Gambit fans are at this point a pretty disgruntled bunch. On the one hand our favourite character basically got the shaft in the movie, whereas characters like Spike and Arclight made it in. Then Marvel turns and around and virtually DESTROYS the character, for no good reason.
So boo-hoo-hoo, we can't agree on an actor to play him. Actors are a dime dozen and new faces constantly pop up. What's the point in agreeing. We're not casting agents. I think...

We are not being impossibly picky. We are being critical and rational. Since it looks like Gambit will never have his big screen debut again, what's the point in agreeing on anything? Let's keep the discussion going

:whatever: :word:

Yep. He killed himself to destroy Juggernaut and save Rogue. His appearance is great though. He explodes Wolverine's mouth once and then breaks one of his tendons. I just love his line "Ain't the size of the wand. It's the magic in it." BOOM.

does wolvering get his mouth back lol
i read a few issues here and there and did rogue permanently get gambits powers?also she isnt apart of the xmen?the issue i got they asked her to join and she said no

It's from Ultimate X-men. Boy, do I love Gambit in there...brief appearance, but...He kicks Logan's ass. Twice.

Hell yeah he did! I love him in Ult. X-men too. Why the hell did they have to kill him!? It doesn't make any sense.

I don't like UXM as they have turned. Rogue is no fun at all, most characters are boring and it is like a soap opera...

Plus they killed beast and gambit and there is no mystique around...:csad:

but i loved gumbo's appearance as well :woot:

Rogue is terrible, especially in her relationship with Bobby. She looks like a ho. I love that she only had her own power for a big while, but I hated when she absorbed Gambit's powers. They have a great concept for Rogue, but the way they made her, she's just terrible.

Somehow, I'm very happy that Gambit had only a cameo. It was wonderful, and there was no time to screw the character. He has great moments in Ultimate.
