In reality the Illuminati are the satanic, laughing masters of all puppets responsible for the status quo of permanent suffering & all forms of modern slavery sticking it to you with a pretty grim outlook for the future: no freedom, no private property, no families - heck, their way you'll even be a hermaphrodite. Sad but true.

At least in a comic, In World War Hulk, the only one capable of defeating them should do so.

Now why, why couldn't management just pull out the biggest guns of all and get Alex Ross artwork?

It's not like MVL stock's not been on a decent run since august to pay up for talent accordingly, but hey - maybe it's the bean counters involved with all the movies who don't give a hoot about the real deal: the comic book.

Maybe somebody will have JR JR wake up a bit to get some energy and put in detail, detail & detail work. It'll really spoil the event for the book if jr does the big blocks & sketchy style like in Eternals.

I don't know why it could not be Mike Deodato, Dale Keown (oh - the pitt thing - I guess maybe he's really blacklisted from the book ever again as I've had hinted at in comicons) or (we wish) John Byrne.

Byrne's the only one who's remotely attempted a Hulk vs. everyone back when savage hulk weakened & separated from banner squared off against most avengers notably dispatching hercules, namor & iron man.

How about some Silvestri, Leinil Yu, Whilce Portacio or Frank Miller alternative covers or for that matter one-shot-guest-artist issues ?
How about a wild foldout like that jim lee batcave? or how about a glow in the dark cover like that green lantern? or that 3D magnus with those 3d glasses or something, something worthwhile for the incredible hulk. I'm tired of waiting even as I always hope.

Issue 101 rocked. This has to be the most consistantly good Marvel comic period. And I'm really glad Pags was doing pencils mostly instead of Frank. Frank's good but I just don't think his style fits Hulk.

Hulk #102 : best issue in the last few years (at least pre bruce jones).

Another feat for the ages, pulling broken tectonic plates together again while submerged in lava.

Best Lopresti so far as well, I suspect the result of being able to have a bit more time than the usual deadlines.

This PH storyline is, as many others have already said, the best this book has been in years. Pak has made it so I don't even miss PAD. I hope he stays on board as long as PAD did (in his original run).

Regarding the art, there are a lot of people who could do a good job. I wouldn't even mind John Byrne.. as long as he's not allowed near the script. He's a good artist, but I didn't like the direction he took the Hulk when he was writing the book.

I really hope John Romita Jr doesn't get to do WWH. He just isn't that great. WWH is going to be even bigger that CW, and Pak is definately going to do a great job. This deserves a penciler at the level of McNiven or Hitch. Someone who is a Hulk legend!

this book is so awesome right now. the feats of strength that the hulk is pulling off are amazing and are making him out to be a real badass. pak is great. at first i thought the aliens were were going tobe stupid but he's made it so i care about every one of them.

Yep, Hulk has a wife now. It looks like Miek and that Brood thing are going to lead to Hulk's return to Earth. It's almost dissapointing until I think about how cool it's going to be for him to kick the Illuminati's ass.

the first arc of planet hulk was great, and then ofter that its been good to average, his battle with the red king wasnt good if it wasnt for him holdin the world together i wouldnt have like that comic at all, i dont like meik at all and im waitin for the hulk to( no pun intended) smash him, that last issue was probably the worst of the entire planet hulk story... they had bug sex in it, it seems like miek want to get rid of the hulk or ploting against him, in either case hulk need to get back to earth already

To answer Manwithoutpeer's question: I'm pretty sure it starts in May, because there is only one more part to PH and that comes out in April.

I believe that there will be two issues of TIH that tie in to WWH and the actual WWH event will occur in it's own mini. DevilHulk has a WWH thread with scanned pages of an interview with Pak on the topic, so you can find out a lot more from that.

Okay, so anyway...

Hulk #104 was AWESOME.

Hulk has a freakin' kid now! Hopefully it's okay after the explosion. If it isn't then I can definately see why Hulk would come back to Earth to kill people. Pak is awesome.

Best Hulk comics in years. 3 major things stood out in Planet Hulk. #1: Hulk gets a lover/queen ala Jarella...in fact that was almost exactly the same scenario, so future don't look too good for this new queen, Jarella died. #2: Miek and buggie sex and Spikes feeding off Hulk...very creepy and disturbing images. remind me of the cult movie "Feed" featuring fat chicks eating other fat chicks...creepy. #3: Hulk smashes everybody. From Gladiator fights and Silver Surfer beatdown to lifting up the planet core rocks, some of the best Hulk beatdowns in years, he just keeps on getting stronger all the time. Plus Hulk gets poontang.

Hulk IS the good guy here. Come on man, Tony Stark has had an ass kicking coming to him for a while now. The Illuminati put Hulk into space while Hulk was saving Earth from a satellite developed by SHIELD! He gets sent to the wrong planet and ends up saving it and uniting the people who live there. Then his ship explodes destroying his wife and unborn child and a large population of Sakaar. Hulk has every right to be pissed.

Meanwhile Tony Stark and Reed Richards are hunting down the very heroes they once fought alongside.

I don't think many Marvel fans, much less Hulk fans, are going to be rooting for Iron Man here, or any of the Illuminati for that matter.
