Actually, Common and Brody talked about it pretty much also.

They talked about the uncertainty of the project, not that it was happening.

Its funny, a while back everyone argued which movie will go ahead, JLM or MOS. Stating the only one can happen, not both. Well now it looks like neither will happen. Heh, go figure

Irony.

Particulary, I Think ''JLA'' has more chances then ''MOS''.

Anne Thompson thought differently.

I think either movie has a good chance of being made for 2010, and both are better off than, say, a GL movie.....at least for that year.

Of course, that's if Superman's November trial is of little concern to Warners. The opposite could be true if it's of great concern to them.

If it is, I think it cuts down both movies.

True. However, they could also be doing nothing because the movie isn't happening. It is pretty much speculation.

The only ones really still talking about JLM are Miller and Gale's support system. Sounds familiar right? ie Singer and Routh.

Nobody in the know has said that it is dead. At worst they have said that it (JL:M) is still in development.

Yea over the last few months between MOS and JLA, jla was more likely to have happened since it had a script, director, cast, location then. Were as then and now mos never had a script, no green light, etc...... So really if jla were to happen. As others have said with some revamp in location, director, cast, script and given a few months for prep work could happen next year for 10/11/12. But its all up to WB on what they want to go forward with be that jla, mos/reboot supes, shazam, green lantern, flash, ww, jonah hex, green arrow, or plastic man.

Well...Green Lantern, Flash, and Wonder Woman are also in development...

Meaning that they are not dead either. But some of those projects (namely Flash) is keying off JLM since it will be a spin-off film.

Green Lantern is listed in the August 7th issue of Production Weekly. That might indicate that it's further along than the others. A GL movie makes sense if Warners is going the route of the solo films first.

Well things could easily change and it could be a different flash story/film and no long be connected to jla like the gl film in the works.

Yes, which is pretty much what JL is currently in.

But just because a movie is in development hell doesn't mean it will never come out of it.

Case in point Watchmen, 8 years later.

I was sure hoping that summit would have been successful, like assigning someone to head up the C.B. film division and announcing future film projects.
It could very well have been successful but, W.B. is sure being awfully quiet about it..

George Miller's production company gearing up for Happy Feet 2?

Sydney company hopes to Dubya its money

Michael Bodey | July 31, 2008

[snip]

He says Omnilab is close to confirming up to $200 million of both domestic and international productions to add to the previously announced TV series Dirt Game for ABC TV, the indigenous musical Bran Nue Dae, and a partnership on the local film The Loved Ones to add to its previous investment in the thriller Dying Breed and animated series Erky Perky.

"We will be doing local Australian films, I can confirm that for you," Mapp says. He can't confirm whether those projects might feature screenwriter Stuart Beattie, director Roger Donaldson, or be the fourth instalment of Mad Max.

He can confirm an adaptation of John Marsden's book series Tomorrow When The War Began, and the staffing up of Omnilab's new venture with George Miller's production company Kennedy Miller Mitchell, which is presumed to be working on a Happy Feet sequel.

"That's the future, building up a significant digital story-telling capacity in Australia," Mapp says.

"There are others like Animal Logic and Rising Sun but this one has significant capacity to do project after project."

Happy Feet 2 has been on the cards for sometime now I believe.

You're probably right. He took 4 years making the first movie and it might take nearly that long to do the second since he's got to start from scratch all over again, deciding against working with the same digital effects company (Animal Logic) that made the first one.

Oh, have you seen the movie? Because as a matter of script. It had potential. MUCH potential.

Just because something look good on paper doesn't mean it will be the same onscreen. And I hope no one ever say JLA will be better than TDK. I lost all faith in humanity if some say that. :oldrazz:

If Green Lantern is going forward, then they aren't doing the same JL movie that we all heard about. Which most likely means that Flash won't spin of JL, although they actually might do that with The Flash.

That is the buzz I guess.

Can't development mean more then one thing? Isn't there a term in Hollywood for "development hell"?

My point was, that development doesn't mean much until, we here that the film has gone into pre-production.

On their own planfield, ''Justice League'' could be as good os better than ''The Dark Knight'', i believe.

In truth this franchise has the potential for spin-offs as well since there are multiple GL's and a GL Corps. Plus the fact that there were some great story arcs that recently came out, I could understand why this could be fast tracked.

Yea hopefully things have changed now with wb/dc since their talks and things can finally pick up on all rumored/stalled projects.

I don't know how one necessarily influences the other since they are different franchises with different GL's. They could even be in the same universe for that matter. As far as flash. The director specifically stated that it would be a spin-off from the Justice League film. Until further notice of a change in plans, I think that it the direction it will be going, and any thing else would just be speculation.

Didn't Charles Roven or someone like mention that The Flash would not be a JLA spin off?
