I saw your previous post, and you are assuming that The Flash was stalled because of Justice League. Why are your assumptions breaking news?
I never said it was breaking news. I was bringing up the facts on the subject to remind everyone why the Flash project is not really moving right now. The director has indicated that he wants it to be a spin-off film. In addition with the bad year for productions this is why there is a delay.
None of these characters need the support of a Justice League film, maybe in your opinion they do, but in reality they don't. You only believe that they need support, because for some reason you really really want this version of JL with George Miller to happen. Whichof course is your opinion and are entitled to it.
Now that is your opinion and I would beg to differ. If that were the case (that the characters needed no support) then they would have had their own film franchises a long time ago. Outside of Superman and Batman only two of them have had television series and one of those didn't even make it through a season. They are definitely not as popular, and with the success of films with minor characters (ala Daredevil, Elektra, Catwoman, Ghost Rider, et al.) I think that the litmus test of an ensemble film like Justice League (it doesn't have to be that project) would not only give them exposure and a safe haven, but allow producers to get an idea which characters might be popular enough to get their own solo franchise before they sink a mint into a loser.
I don't believe there should be two Batmans bataranging around on screen. Espeically after what has happened with Dark Knight. I think that would be completely ridiculous and I think WB would be even more ridiculous to do it. Since it doesn't seem they are rushing with any other properties at this point, and they don't have to because of DK, I am not holding my breath for a big Justice League announcement. George Miller can talk about it all he wants, and Gale's publicists can push it until Happy Feet comes home, but it doesn't mean it is going to happen.
So the truth comes out. You are one of the nay sayers. I clearly disagree with this since exposure of the character only serves to help the other minor characters as well as diversify the Batman franchise. There are already multiple versions of Batman floating around and they are clearly not the same. One does not affect the other because we are discerning creatures and are smart enough to tell the difference and choose what we like and want to see.
You wanting it to happen and it happening are two different things, but nobody at WB has said this movie is back in production. It is in development, check out the slate of movies in development and tell me how many of those films actually happen. Sure Justice League might happen, but it could be 5 years from now.
I never said that is was happening right now, just that it wasn't dead.
