I love the bigger screen too much to downgrade. I'll be sticking XL. Shame they didn't make faceplates for the XL. Seems like a no brainer, but Nintendo is as Nintendo does. If the release date is announced tomorrow, I'll be sprinting down to Best Buy or Gamestop to do my pre-order. I don't want a repeat of the Majora's Mask Limited Edition thing again.

I'm thinking I may go with the Regular. I like the bigger screen, but I like the size of the overall hardware and I think the screen will be alright. And while it's total vanity, I really like the idea of the face plates.

If I ever get a New 3DS, I'll never go back to the smaller version. My hands would cramp up after about 20-30 min. I haven't had that problem since I got the XL.

These flyers have leaked via Kotaku. Allegedly, according to the writer, he has said Gamestop sources has confirmed it. We'll know for sure tomorrow, but it's looking more and more legit. Has the 2.13 date launching along with Monster Hunter 4 and Majora's Mask 3D. It only has the New 3DS XL that has the colors of Red and Black as opposed to Blue and Black of Japan.

Majors' Mask doesn't have the "New" sign on it, does it? It's one of the oy Zeldas I never played, and I wanna be able to play it on my current 3DS.

"New" sign? I'm not sure what you mean? Are you asking if it's exclusive to the New 3DS? No, the only actual exclusive for the New 3DS announced so far is Xenoblade. I think they've said their might be some "enhanced" features with the New 3DS, but it's playable on all 3DS hardware.

There's gonna be some kind of insignia that'll be aparent to the consumer, in order to differentiate it from a regular 3DS game. The GBC had the "color" sign, the DSI had it, etc. I was just making sure it didn't have one, cause I still wanted to play on my current system.

It probably will have an insignia of some sort, because I do believe it was said MM will have some feature exclusive to the New 3DS (nothing has been said yet, so probably not much more than use of the c-stick), but again, the only software that has been announced that will be only playable on New 3DS hardware is the port of Xenoblade Chronicles. Everything else, at this point in time, is still playable on Old 3DS hardware.

If that flyer is legit, it and Monster Hunter 4 will apparently launch with it.

Just called my buddy who runs the gamestop down the road from me. He says it's legit and if I confirm it do it anonymously.. I guess this leak was a major no no.

I think that Mario amiibo has been used in marketing in the past, so I doubt it's a hint at anything specific. I don't think we'll hear about new amiibo stuff for other games until the Smash Bros line is done.

Seems like there's a lot of speculation going around that NA may not get the regular size New 3DS and will only get the XL version. Stem of this seems to be the leaked advertisement posted above that only has the XL models. Just for reference, AU got regular, and EU is also getting regular, both along with faceplates. It'd be strange to not release it in NA.

Probably 200 for the big one, 180 for the standard.

All games that work on the current 3DS will work on the new one.

I'm imagining $199 for the XL. Majora's Mask same day release would make me crazy happy, and my girlfriend is a diehard Monster Hunter fan, so she'd be over the moon if that came out same day as well. My only buggaboo is the glossy finish. It's gonna be fingerprint city on those things.

The prices for EU leaked: 169.99 euros for the regular, 199.99 euros for the XL version. Odds are those prices will be translated directly to US dollars, as the pricing has done so similarly with past 3DS models, but we should know for sure tomorrow mourning.

Yes, all current 3DS games will play on the New 3DS hardware. And, for what it's worth, all future software with the sole exception (at this time) of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Yeah, my friend got the Smash Bros XL, and it has the glossy finish like that. Last time I saw him with it, the thing was smudged as hell looking.

I think it's a given that MH4 and MM are launching wit the New 3DS. That ad doesn't explicitly say so, but since it's confirmed to be legit, there's no real reason to have those two games randomly there if one or both aren't going to release along with the system. It would also explain why there was no 1st party title in January (Nintendo is technically the publisher of MH4 outside Japan despite Capcom remaining on the box) since they were holding two back for Feb. to launch with this.

And on top of the ad, apparently Best Buy just leaked the date of the MM CE stragety guide for Feb. 13 I just read. So yeah, I think it's a given at this point that MM is launching with it.
