I'm sorely tempted to trade in my 3DS XL and Mario and Luigi to get the theme one. It's !70 something at the Gamestop by my house.

I actually think it looks pretty cool. It's pretty simplistic. Most of the themed versions seem a bit too flamboyant for my taste, but this one is pretty plain, and looks a bit natural. I like it.

Really? I hate Pokémon, and even I thought they were awesome.

Zelda was pretty damn dull though.

The Pikachu one was ok, but the X and Y ones were just the red and blue XL with decals on it. Nothing special

The Zelda one was just all gold. I'm not a fan of it. Too flashy for my taste.

I have no idea what the Pokemon ones looks like? I'm not a fan of the series, so I just stay away.

I would call all of the 3DS bundled consoles pretty simplistic. Zelda was just a golden 3DS with a triforce, the Pokemon ones were Red and Blue with one of the X/Y mascots etched on. All of them have been simple. I wouldn't call any of them flamboyant or flashy by any means.

I like the Mario/Luigi one the best, too, though. Had I not had a 3DS already, probably would've picked it up for this sale.

I think the all gold one is, along with the Luigi special edition, Animal Crossing, the yellow pokemon one(I think he's called pikachu), the Monster Hunter bundle, Yoshi's Island bundle...and I think there's a few more.

Sure, some of them aren't, but the majority of them I see are some bright color, with tons of weird looking pics slapped all over it.

My new 3DS came in. It looks great. The only thing that I don't like about it, is there is no charge cradle, and it's significantly heavier. Other than that, I love the bigger screen, and more importantly, it's MUCH more comfortable to use. The other one I had was too small, and my hands would cramp up, especially when I was playing MK7.

I like it a lot.

Nintendo needs to release a charge cradle. I know they had one as a Club Nintendo prize, but those barely lasted a week before they were all done.

The charge cradle isn't that important, but it was convenient to just plop it down on it when you were done playing.

what version did you have? I bought mine when Pokemon X&Y came out and it does hurt my hands after a while

Just the first generation black 3DS. So the small one.

I just upgraded to the XL, and it's a night and day difference. I played MK7 for about 45 min straight, and my hands didn't cramps at all. Normally after my first race, I could start feeling it. If you have bigger hands, the XL is the way to go.

Seems like Mysterious Murasame Castle is getting released for the first time in NA for the 3DS VC on August 7th.

It's sometimes referred to as a lost classic. One of the few 1st party NES titles that never actually made it to the States. It was released for the EU and JP VCs already, and in for the Wii U VC also, in Japan, at the end of July. It's apparently similar to the original Legend of Zelda, but more focused on action over exploration.

I ended up getting Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for my Club Nintendo reward. Was going to go with Game & Wario, but this seems like more of a value. Also got ALBW and Tomodachi Life in the mail for the BOGO Best Buy. Getting a backlog of 3DS titles here.

I can't imagine why on earth that would be useful. Maybe Smash Bros, but the 3DS Smash Bros is probably optimized for those controls.
