Official PlayStation Vita Thread

Vita's probably my most played system atm. Worthwhile games come out on PSN pretty much every week.

I might get one just for Arkham Origins Blackgate maybe in 2014.

That's a great news by the man himself. It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita through internet if you have a great connection.

That would be awesome since Vita needs more games to come out.

I platinumed Soul Sacrifice - it's my favorite game on the system.

Wow seems like some good games are finally coming to Vita. At the moment I only have Uncharted plus the Uncharted Card game and Fifa Football.

you should try soul sacrifice and persona 4. Also, check for Tearaway's trailers. It looks amazing.

Only if they make some significant additions. Like a ton of new costumes from the comics, new missions, new villians, possible new modes. Definetly take advantage of the Vita's touch interfaces. If not, then whats the point?

Yeah I agree with you, Havok. Speaking of superheroes I can't wait for Arkham Origins Blackgate I hope it's a hit on the Vita, we might not see a Batman game on Vita for a long time if the game sale fails.

I am not a huge fan of the 2d gameplay but it does look gorgeous on the vita

LOOKS great..But, I'm not sure how I feel about the 2D gameplay.

I googled this, but I cannot seem to find a clear cut answer: Is the Vita BC with the original PSP? I know you can download the digital PSP games on there, but not all games are digital on PSP are they? Can I buy a PSP cartridge game and play it on a Vita?

That's a negative.

Only digital PSP games will work for you. It'd be cool if they implemented a physical/digital copy transfer program but nothing like that so far.

Okay. How much of the PSP library is digital now? I assume a lot since they tried that PSP Go thingy. Is there a website or anything that I could check?

You guys read this?

RUMOR: Japanese newspaper Tokyo Keizai reported a rumor that Sony is set to reveal a new PS Vita model in September before the Tokyo Game Show. The new model PCH-2000 will have a 6.3" display manufactured by Samsung (screen size of the current model is 5"), and the resolution will remain at 960 x 554 pixels. The amount of RAM will increase from 512MB to 1GB, to allow more programs to run in the background, the amount of RAM used by games will be unchanged (meaning games are still compatible between old and new models). In addition, the design of the new model will be more in-line with the PS4 design; and the system will launch with new game titles.

Im not a fan of the thing getting bigger. Its already big as it is, but the other changes sound good.

I'd probably buy a bigger model, personally. It wouldn't surprise me if they were doing this to make it more compatible as a PS4 controller or something.

A price drop o's rumored too.. IMHO, it almost has to drop. 170 is a sweet spot.
