Official Pro Evolution Soccer 6 Thread

I've not seen a thread for this game yet, and I thought perhaps it should have one, since so many people seem to be converting from FIFA.

I've been an avid ProEvo player since ISS2 on the PSX. Every version of this game improves year after year, and is one of the best sports sims on the market. I love the series and regarded ProEvo5 as a classic.

The new version has just been released, what do you guys think?


I currently am having a difficult time with the mutha. The game has gotten SO realistic, I'm finding it unplayable. Shots go stupidly wide, players go missing etc, which is true with real life footy but renders having any fun unlikely.

ProEvo5 was a perfect balance, and I know each version has its own learning period, but I've never had this trouble before. What makes it worse is that my mate has got the hang of it easy, things are beginning to get violent.

The only solace I can find is playing the game on wide camera view, which is good against the computer, but is never used in a duel.

I love 6, it just improves those little naggles that really let 5 down for me. Awesome game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting to grow into the game. Anyhoo, what were the little naggles?

I do like the freer flowing games as well.

Goalies arn't just brick walls anymore, their movement is much more human, plus the ref doesn't call fake offsides.

I've just got the hang of it and nilled my mate 6-0 in games.

Awesome. I'm suprised no-one else is interested, I thought the game was more popular.

I have always been a massive ProEvo fan, and I am not even a big football fan really.

The amount of fun you can have with your mates playing this game for hours on end is limitless.

All Pro Evo games come with a learning curve, because they always tweak things and evolve the series every time out. It's not a simple rehashing.
