Is this the thread i post my review for the X-Men : Sword of the Braddocks in?
Uttter. Load. Of. Bollocks.
Im not even sure why I bought it.. I was interested in seeing how Betsy ends up in the 616 universe again. Which she did, but then she went back to the Exiles multiverse thing... so that was a bit redundant.
The art wa quite pretty but seemed very wooden in places.. im not sure if that was more the writings impact on it though.
Im not sure Betsy should actually be shouting "oh no my TK and telepathic attacks dont seem to be working on him" (or something like that) in the middle of a fight with someone... you really dont want to literally tell them your weaknesses.
Im also saddened that she didnt have Captain Britain help her. AS HE WAS STOOD RIGHT NEXT TO HER. Its the most embarrassingly bad cliche for comic books...
"Hi, can I help you... hes really powerful and will probably kill you"
"NO, this is MY fight!"
"....really? not just a bit of help? even though he could kill you? ....ok il just stand here watching then"
and also.. why did all the other versions of Psylocke turn up at the end? loads of paralel versions of everyone else die all the time and they dont all turn up as ghosts randomly.
complete waste of time and effort. Cant even think of anything good to say about the comic. Anyone else curious to see how psylocke gets back into the real world... this isnt it. This is just a solo story of her that should have been in (the now cancelled because it was rubbish) new Exiles. (and dont get me started on the backup story)
How and why did she go back to the Exilesverse?
I skimmed it in the shop, but put it back
