I think Stark's red energy beam was just a red herring and actually has nothing to do with the red hulk. They want us to think it does but i highly doubt it.
If this book was fun, they'd all be smiling like they just ate Aunt May's apple pie. Maybe after the Lady Liberators kick Rulk's ass they'll hit Starbucks and talk about which hunk is the sexiest.
I am having a real hard time thinking that the Red Hulk storyline is over.
If its not I'd say that the story is starting to get interesting. Or at least adding more to the mystery.
I have to believe that the story isn't over, maybe that the story will continue in a different title or something.
There are still far too too too many unanswered questions to end it here.
It is a fun title though, its not all deep depressing doom and gloom. I heard a comic writer, a very popular one who has been writing for years, say that comics used to be lighter and now its all too serious.
This book is a fun, not to be taken to seriously book.
I bet he even started calling him Rulk because of comic readers calling him that.
I think the Red Hulk storyline came out before Secret Invasion started, not sure. But it takes place before since Stark is running SHIELD and Aries is there and no Captain America. Plus Johnny even says I wish Reed was here.
Back to the unanswered ending,
I still have questions and I wish the next issue was out so I could see whats going on. Questions that I got from this one issue (mostly):
Why does Samson suddenly have long flowing hair?
Why does he shoot Rick?
How did Rick become A-Bomb?
Why do the Hulks know where the other Hulks are instantly?
Whats their connections?
How does Rick know the real identity of Red Hulk?
How does Samson know?
Was Samson and Ross in the same scene at the end of the story (where Samson shot Rick and Ross talked to Red Hulk)?
How does Ross know the Red Hulk?
Who is the Red Hulk if its not Samson, Bruce, Ross, Rick, Stark, She-Hulk, or Hill?
Who else could the Red Hulk be?
I have a few theories but not sure,
Red Hulk could still be
Samson, (he suddenly has long hair? There is something going on there.)
It could be Bruce/Hulk's dark side from WWH released (set free).
what other theories did I have?
Maybe its a SHEILD agent, or someone who works with Ross,(one we know otherwise his identity isn't important).
There is still the mystery of how Red Hulk became Red Hulk in the 1st place and how Rick became Abomination, and how all the Hulks are connected.
I think that might be more interesting than the identity.
I notice Samson is wearing torn black pants and is shirtless...hmmm...I wonder if that is relevant.
And why don't any of the heroes notice Rick getting shot in the back?

Red Hulk is Glenn Talbot, or his nephew, who's name escapes me.
For those unaware, Glenn was Betty's first husband, and sort of Ross's right hand man. He was in the Ang Lee Hulk movie of course, but portrayed as much more sinister than he was in the comics. Glenn died in about Hulk 250-260.
His Nephew blames Hulk. Would it not make sense that the young Talbot is Rulk? He has the rage.
If it is Talbot then they need to introduce him at some point so its not just "you guys were trying to figure out who Red Hulk was but it turns out he was someone we never mentioned once" sort of thing. But if he had been brought in earlier or mentioned then that would be a good suspect.
Thats one of my questions too.
Hulk new A-Bomb was Rick. A-Bomb and Hulk and Red Hulk just automatically know where the other Hulks are, like they are connected.
Makes me think that The three Hulks are in fact connected, and the origin of Red Hulk and Rick becoming A-Bomb are connected and that the Red Hulk story is far from over.
Another reason I think the Red Hulk is far from over, and another reason I am scratching my head as to why they put The End in it.
I am also wondering if Samson and Ross where supposed to be in the same area at the same time. Because neither are shown in the same panel in that scene. Rick and Samson are shown together and Red Hulk and Ross are shown together, but Ross and Samson aren't shown together.
I wonder if that was on purpose and maybe means something.
If it hadn't said The End I would be thinking that the story is getting really interesting.
And I still think that since I don't think its over.
Haven't you seen the cover of issue #9? That's Storm, She-Hulk, Invisible Woman, Thundra, Valkyrie, Black Widow, Tigra, etc! Those aren't ****es. If they beat the snot out of Red Hulk -AND THEY SHOULD - then he wasn't anything special. All he had going for him was the mystery of his identity. Whoopee-doo. Once "Long Halloween" and "Hush" were over, the hype lost its steam.
