Official Rulk Thread

Rulk is probably going to be Samson's sidekick Jack.

Well it's not bugging me cause all the evidence points to Samson. So it's not even a mystery anymore.

Is anyone else still annoyed that the Hulk's greatest nemesis Abomination was killed off panel and by a gun of all things? Are they ever going to explain what the heck went on there?!?!

Maybe Loeb will go back to it, but it'll probably just be as part of a recap once he reveals who the Red Hulk is...assuming he does that at some point in his run, that is.

I had a thought: What if Loeb doesn't actually have a secret identity for the Red Hulk in mind? What if he's just messing with readers?

I never really cared much for the Abomination, to be honest. The Hulk's greatest nemeses are all superheroes, as far as I'm concerned. Thor, the Thing, Wolverine, etc.

What I'm guessing is that the Abomination will be back, the Winter Gaurd took his body. I'm sure the Russian government is gonna do some testing to either bring Emil back or try and recreate a new Abomination. Whether Emil was a villian the Russians wouldn't just dispose of a powerhouse like Abomination, especially since M-Day.

Other than Abom and Leader, those guys you mentioned are all that Hulk really has as far as a rogues gallery.

Well, the US Army and/or SHIELD, too. Those are kind of interchangeable at this point.

It's not Samson.

Pretty much read the first issue when Samson describes what happened and pretend the Hulk that killed Abomination was red rather than green. That's what happened.

Okay Rulk might not be Samson, but it's not a mystery that Samson is involved, IMO I think Rulk should be Samson. I really think the Samson that showed up at the end of issue 6 was Samson from the future. Like when Samson tells Rick Jones after shooting him "You can't be telling secrets Rick. It's not your future. It's not your destiny" I felt that was supposed to be a hint that this Samson was from the future. This doesn't mean for any reason that Samson is Rulk, but he obviosly knows whats going on and is letting it all happen. Samson and She-Hulk had not been getting along and what I've noticed is that Rulk seemed to have a personal thing against She-Hulk. It's also weird that Rulk used a gun to kill Abomination then Samson uses a gun to shot the new A-Bomb. It's also kinda coincidential that Samson has his signature look but all of a sudden he is wearing nothing but torn up black pants, which is exactly what Rulk wears. The only thing is that Samson now has long hair and a scar on his chest which Rulk doesn't have. To me the scar can easily be explained by it healing when transformed, the long hair and the comment about the future is what leads me to believe that Samson is from the future. In the end I have stated in multiple posts my opinions on how it makes perfect sense for Samson to be Rulk.

Samson had been making all kinds of random appearances throughout the MU for the last couple of years. Dont get me wrong he's been a big part of the MU for years, but right before/around CW Marvel really started to put him out there. He popped up in X-Men, X-Factor, Ironman, She-Hulk, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, The Initiative, he was in CW & WWH, then he made his last appearance thus far in Hulk. Since than he hasn't been seen, he wasn't there for Secret Invasion, he has been mentioned in The Initiative by Trauma saying that Doc Samson was apperently "to busy" to meet with him for a session. This guy has never been to busy in the last couple years, he has been the therapist for the whole MU and has been there for the last couple major events. All of a sudden Samson is to busy to meet with patients, to busy to help out during SI. If Samson isn't the Rulk he has to be involved, all of a sudden Samson starts to let his temper get the better of him, he comes out of nowhere with long hair and shots Rick Jones before he can tell Hulk who Rulk is.

I never really thought about the "future Samson" thing. Good theory, that actually makes some sense (in a comic book kind of way). I still don't think it's Samson but you're definitely on to something.

But guys, you have GOT to check out Gail Simone's take on a Hulk vs Thor fight! It is awesome!

EDIT: Click on "print article" to read the whole thing. It won't print but you'll be able to read the whole thing.
