Official Rulk Thread

Dude, I already provided you with one link. Go out and read/listen to some Loeb interviews on your own.

"Dude," I already addressed that link you posted. I have been looking up some old Loeb interviews and at no point does he say that "Hulk" is going to be a brainless smash-fest. In fact, all he does (as I said before) is play up the mystery angle of the book.

Which is more action than some superhero comics see in months. I mean, the Hulk smashed Tony with a goddamn fighter jet.

Smashed with a fighter jet?! That's craaaaazy! :whatever:

Kind of hard to feel the weight of that moment when we just saw the green Hulk obliterate NYC a couple months ago. The red Hulk has been underwhelming so far, to say the least.

I don't read Ultimates 3. But, I didn't feel like this was random at all. The Hulk broke in, crashed the Helicarrier, cut to Rick and the reveal that he's not the Red Hulk. The end. Pretty linear, to me.

The Hulk's arm just bursting out of nowhere is the very definition of random.

All the interviews that I've read said that this is going to be a romp through the MU with the Hulk smashing and bashing everyone in sight. Never once did I get the impression that this was going to be a "cerebral" book. Somehow, you did, though.

So, just because it's not the total destruction of NYC, it doesn't count as action? I don't think I'm familiar with that type of logic.

The Hulk's arm just bursting out of nowhere is the very definition of random.

I'm guessing that he's someone who was already on the Helicarrier.

Man I wish I was able to pick up this book. So that I would know what you guys are talking about.

Even if the book's writing isn't great at least the art is. And really thats the only reason I was going to buy it in the first place.

Yup, like Ultimates 3 its a joy to look at .... my eyes feel happy with each passing page ...

But I'm with the posters on this thread that find the writing very odd.

This feels like #3 .... as if we have missed a large chunk of somthing.

Very odd indeed!

#2 was a hell of a read, some great McG art matched with some nice over the top moments.Still can't get enough of it.

I hope this delay in 3 and 4 is just to have a Hulk coming out when the movie comes out.If we're hitting delays this early because of the creative team, that sucks.

i'm both sad and relieved that #3 won't ship until April: lightens the load, but it still pains to wait for the next installment of any story.

With all the seriousness going on with the majority of Marvel's titles right now,I sure as hell don't mind an insane over the top comic filled with mindless action and good visuals.

The delays for 2 and 4 do suck,we're talking bi-monthly here.Hopefully they catch up.

Guys #2 sucked donkey balls.

I still have not recieved number 2 (I am subsctribed to the comic) so if number 3 is not out until April it means I probably will not see it until May :(.

No one deserves anything. It's a fact of life. It's like when a fat girl did a good job on some project and she tells herself "I deserve this piece of cake." No, you really don't, you may want it, but you don't deserve it.

Good job.
People who walk around thinking this life owes them something tend to be very disapointed...

I don't understand what all the delays are about. I mean, I understand, but I guess I don't understand why Marvel didn't at least have a few issues in the can so the first storyarc would ship on time. Did they learn nothing from Mighty Avengers?

The one about shipping their books on time, every time. They're not going to shy away from using fill-ins or two artists to a book anymore.

Good policy. I know they caught a lot of **** for using fill-ins on something as big as Infinite Crisis, but **** it, they definitely made the right call as far as I'm concerned.
