Official Rulk Thread

Huh. So they're just, like, manufacturing a family for the Hulk from existing characters?
I guess? Van Lente created Scorpion and her mom did supposedly know Banner from his college days so I guess if that's where he wants to go with his character I guess he can... It's still not a for sure thing.

The thing with Thundra just blew my mind though. It sounds like she went back in time (or something) and got Hulk's DNA (blood?) and used it to impregnate herself. Wow. I guess I'm kinda indifferent at this point about it. I guess it could be cool.
Wow, and I thought Superman was a deadbeat dad.
LOL!
Only in the movies.
Yeah, how stupid was that? WHY would the writers differ from the actual comic so much?

Superman Returns is what happens when you try to give a weakness to a near-invincible character, but realize it in the worst way possible.

Can someone please explain what TYPE of power Red Hulk has? It's obvious that this guy is something different. Or is he seriously whooping on Watchers and Thordin with pure raw power?

The power to completely disregard previously established laws of physics?

He has a stronger base-level strength than the green Hulk but instead of getting stronger the madder he gets, Rulk gets hotter the madder he gets.

Pretty stupid, I know.
I wonder if they'll start calling the regular Hulk Gulk.
NEVER! :cmad:

For those of you who totally ignored all Hulk related events for the last month or two, Hulk is a new ongoing coming out in January featuring a red Hulk. It will be written by Jeph Loeb with pencils from Ed McGuiness. Apparantly Greg Pak has at least some say in what happens.

Jeph Loeb explains more in this interview.

So who is this new red Hulk? Banner? Rick Jones? Someone else? And will Jeph Loeb do a good job or will this just be another Ultimates 3?

Come to think.. we are clearly in the 21st century. Can you imagine a RED HULK in the 60s..?

Better dead than red!
Is that actually true?
Yep. It goes into some detail about it in the King-Size Hulk special. Banner was talking about it. I'm not sure if this will be used against enemies (to burn them or something?) but that's why there was glass in the footprints when they were investigating Abomination's death.

It does seem to support the idea that Rulk is a magic, possibly demonic, after-effect of the Hulk's encounter with Zom in Dr. Strange's body, as some people have suggested.
