Official Rulk Thread

I don't see how Rulk giving off heat supports the idea that he's magic based. He's emitting radiation.

I just read Skaar: Son of Hulk #3 and I was pleased to say the least.

Aside from Skaar's first words [blackout]("**** your profit." Ha!) this last issue has been over-the-top action all the way. Skaar fought Princess Omaka, Wildebots, Axeman Bone killed a whole bunch of traitors... AND we found out more about Old Sam and we learned the origins of Axeman and Omaka and how it relates with what we already know about the planet Sakaar.[/blackout]

So all in all, fast paced storytelling and tons of action = awesome comic book. Good work, Pak!

I agree it was quite good and felt more like a Hulk comic then what the current "Hulk" comic is like.

Right, 'cause Parker's name sells comics the way Loeb's does. :(

I'm passing on Monster Size Hulk because I'm actually not a huge Hulk fan in general. I'm really only interested in two eras of the Hulk's history: the professor era and the Planet Hulk era. The former's probably never coming back and I've got Skaar for the latter, so I'm good.

The thing about name recognition in comics is: if it's a ****ty run, the name recognition will eventually wear off. The only reason I buy it is because Hulk's my absolute favorite character and I want to keep up with what's going on with him. There is no other reason to buy Hulk that I can think of.

Loeb will probably be gone to ruin something else after Hulk #12 anyway. But if he's not off by then I am going to have to drop it in protest. I mean, why would they not get a more capable writer on Hulk post-WWH?

Hulk's selling around 100,000 copies every month. I doubt everybody is buying it because the Hulk's their favorite character. People see Loeb's name and enjoy what he writes. I can't fathom why, but the sales indicate it's true.

american idol is one of TVs most popular shows.

Yeah, and people genuinely like it. My point's not that Hulk is good; it's that a lot of people think it's good, regardless of what we say.

Consider Loeb the reality TV of comics: he's a writer who's terrible at the craft but great at appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Anybody see the little paragraph descring Hulk #7 stating that the red GSC is out for vengeance because no Hulk, no matter what color, likes getting a beat down.

I hope this is not a red herring and that the red GSC finally gets beaten down.

Can some kind member give me the layout of all the fights Rulk has had?
I would deeply appreciate it, thanks.
