I've been a fan since I was just a little guy. Although I know it'll damage the inner-child, I'm still going to watch it.

First post, eh....


Having been a childhood fan of The Transformers cartoon and movie i was reeeealy looking foward to this ish, but having just read the script...It really depends on what revisions have been made to it and how 'all-out' Bay is willing to go to make this a kick ass film that'll make it or break it with the fans.

Stuff I like - (remember -SPOILER THREAD...)
Primes opening Voice-Over - I WILL geek out to that ish- fact - when i hear it in the cinema.

'Vortex'(or whatever he's called now) kickin serious arse at the beginning - what a way to introduce us to how bad-ass the decepticons are.

Bumbebee, in general, I like as a character - and kids are gonna freakin love him!

Bumble Bee and Brawls ruckus - when the cars are playin 'chicken' then they transform...oh my days that'll be sick.

Spike - I think, with Shia Lawotshisname playing him, he's gonna be aight.

The rest of action sounds pretty cool too...but thats about it.

Wots the deal with 'autobots' - as Mikaela christens them (sigh) - coming into the film about half way through, gettin about 10 lines between them, hiding in a garden, gettin in a bit of ruckus with a few decepticons, then, in the end, not even saving the day! I though this was a transformers film?! Coming down to earth in Silver Balls...silver balls, c'mon...we dont see ratchet fixing any thing, Jazz being cool, Optimus being the hardcore Leader/Warrior/Soldier that he should be...I wanna see them TALK to each other, I wanna feel the history these cats have got with each other, not jus follow spike aroung lookin for pair of freakin glasses...

The decepticons are treated even worse - Starscreem does **** all. Nothing. Wheres his relationship with Megatron. Wheres the jealosy, the resentment, the anger? Matter of fact, wheres Megatron for the first hour and half? And SPIKE kills him...piss off. Seriously - piss off. He is the most powerfull being in the universe and some kid who can't even get a girl kills him...say CHEESE

Now, if i wanna watch a cheesy film with people coming together to fend off an alien invasion I'll watch indepedence day.

If i wanna watch a hardcore film about a boy and his robot protecter I'll watch T2.

But I wanna watch a Transformers film. And this script, no matter how well written it may be in parts, is a human story. FIDDUCK HUMANS - I WANNA SEE TRANFORMERS, BIATCHES!!!

Yeah this movie sounds like a lot of cheese.
It should be called "The Search for the Magic Glasses" or just "Magic Glasses" instead of Transformers.

For the military to be as powerless against the TF's as they were in the original.

That would have made it even more important for the humans to rely and welcome the Autobots presence of earth.

It has been stated that there are plans for sequals, with this in mind I guess we need to look at the bigger picture when it comes to the comments about the Transformers roll, screen time, lines etc. We can only pray that it works out in the end if its designed to watch multiple Transformers movies.

One other thing, this is not a final copy of the script, its just a draft, things can still change.

Over in the tf.com boards someone who was on set spotted another police car with a transformer insignia on it, but the guy seems to think that it was a different car to Mustang Brawl. He said it looks like a Chevey Impala. Imagine if this is the secret transformer Bay hinted at, Prowl perhaps.

Yes...I have...And regardless of where the idea came from...And if you must know it's from ancient Mythology...capture, study, adapt, evolve...it was a clever idea to use that as the bridge between our machines and their biology. Why else would their mechanical biology match so well with our machines? Why else would they be able to adapt so quickly to our world?

I guess. I mean, I was a little underwhelmed by Spider 1... but, part2 knocked my socks off.

Hey CFlash, the Arctic Circle is on the North Pole, not the South Pole of Earth [where Antarctica lies].

North Pole was in the G1 episode Fire in the Sky . . . a nice nod, even if unintentional one on the writer's part.

They find Megs in the Arctic Circle? I misunderstood. Same difference. Except now I can't stop thinking there's not some sort of allegory here about Santa Clause (you know... cuz he makes toys up in the north pole and all).

OK, I just realized that Victor Caroli is still alive and still does voice-overs. The hell with Optimus Prime's narration. Why don't they get Victor. He did the narration for the original pilot AND the movie!!! That would be really cool to get him for this. It only seems right. But then again it also seems logical, so nevermind.

I always envisioned the movie having a noir-esque narration like that... voiced by that guy. I doubt they'll do it tho. It's probably too story-book-ish.

You know I was thinking, a duel opening voice over with Megatron and Optimus both telling there sides of the story woudl be interesting. almost as if they are trying to talk over each other, Optimus talks, than Megatron, Optimus and the Megatron, both pleading their case so to speak. Have the end of the voice over be with them both saying at the same time what they want/need: "The Energon must be found".

Yeah I can imagine an opening voice over at the start where they [blackout]discover Megatron frozen in the ice[/blackout] it would be appropriate there.

i know that's why I said opening voice over. I figured they since they are having one with Optimus ( according to the script ) an Optimus Megatron duel opening voice over would be interesting .
