First Avenger OFFICIAL: SEBASTIAN STAN is BUCKY!

yea the age difference between stan and evans is just fine. Plus we dont know what ages both evans and stan's characters will be in the film. Plus maybe they will have bucky be in early 20s and not a teen. More so if they go about and decide to make him a good solider and is a partner to cap(not the whole sidekick thing) which then leads to them both dying and him becoming winter solider from the russians or what not.

hmph. My only experience with Stan is with "Gossip Girl" and "The Covenant". He didn't exactly impress me with either.

Still looking forward to the film though and I have plenty of faith in Marvel.

I've never seen Sebastian Stan on anything, so i cant really judge how good he is as an actor.

But i can give an opinion about my overall conception about the project itself by my previous comment about Joe Johnston.

I hope it will be good. But i dont have high hope, tho.

Meh...I'm sure he'll do fine tho.
I just hope they go more the Ultimate route and make him a fellow soldier, not a costumed side-kick.

Oh and Sam, I'd have to disagree that I DO have high hopes & expectations for FA:CA...I just hope that they aren't TOO high so that it will leave me open to disappointment much like Batman Begins did. (Don't get me wrong, BB is a GREAT movie & the best interpretation Of Batman's origin on film so far, but after my initial viewing, I left the theater thinking of all my hopes that I had envisioned in my mind that they didn't quite hit. I absorbed so much of the planning & production before the films release that to be fair, there is NO WAY it could completely live up to all my expectations without me writing & directing it myself. Unfortunately, DC & WB didn't return my calls! )

yep, but the wait will be well worth it. i wouldnt be surprised if he showed up in Cap 2, or Ironman 3. hes an assassin hes not supposed to be all in your face. i cant friggin wait.

I would hope they hold off on doing the Winter soldier. From a story stand point it looks like we wont see Cap deal with the modern world until Cap 2. We'll get a good man out of time story ruined by another man out of time...to introduce the Winter Soldier you set them on a course of Bucky taking over as Cap or the story has to get changed. I dont see them signing Evans to a multi pic deal just so someone else becomes Cap.

yea i am sure he will be just fine too. i dont know his work, but folks say he is a decent actor. As for whats going on with bucky. i still say they will probably have him just be a regular solider and friend of steve. Then learns he is cap. Then when all the invader stuff happen he comes along. They both die and all. And we are lead to believe bucky is gone. Then say in avengers or ironman 3 which would probably be out before cap 2 happens i would figure. We get a scene or two of some mystery hitman taking out key folks. And we are lead to the codename of "Winter solider" so then the comic guys know what is going on. But the general film folks dont. Then in cap 2 a full reveal that its bucky and he via the russians survived ww2.

Brubaker's Bucky wasn't an assassin. He was a scout.

Maybe Buckey, in the movie, will be America's entry for the Invaders. He and Cap could meet that way so he's already established and realistic, like Brubaker's more solider than Boy Wonder version.
I like the Winter Solider story, it could make a good second Cap movie
