Well the thing is Spidey2 is probably the best movie quality wise, but Spidey3 is a action packed movie which demands more repeated viewings...
QUALITY is in the eye of the beholder. Some people like SM3 better than SM2, some think SM2 is best, some still like the first movie better than both of them. It's nothing more than opinion. I personally don't give a sh:t, but I'm just glad to see SM3 kicking SM1/SM2 ass worldwide. This is my beloved Spider saying..."f--- the so-called word-of-mouth from disgruntled fanboys and critics!"
weird that best spidey movie has by far the worst WW gross.
Maybe it ain't the best to those upon repeat reviewing on a worldwide scale. SM3 is not only beating SM1/SM2 overseas, it's destroying them. Neither SM1/SM2 is going to beat SM3 domestically by 100M (when all is said and done), but SM3 overseas is going to beat them both by about 120-130M. That's more impressive to me than anything.
Omg Omg Omg Spidey Worldwide:

$843,964,000 :wow: :wow: :wow: :woot: :woot:
The thing is, SM3 isn't even close to being done making millions worldwide.:cwink:

900 million here we come, this is awesome for SM3...a comic book film grossing 900 million, wow, makes me a happy comic book fan.

Yeah dude,i personally love SP3...it's the best for me without a doubt

I'm really enjoying that Pirates isn't doing, well... poorly. I dunno why. Maybe it's because of the Pirates fanboys annoyingly repeating that Jack Sparrow & Co. are gonna kick Spidey's ass... Nice! :D

So, it´s officially now the most successful Spider-Man movie worldwide, by unadjusted numbers anyway - if it keeps going like that, it could surpass it in ticket sales, BTW...

Not only POTC3 did considerably less than SM3 did in its second weekend, also Shrek 3 did less than SM3 in its third one... It looks umbeatable at this point.

"Do you think this letter on my head stands for France?!" - Ultimate Cap.

That quote pisses me off to no end. :\

Back on topic since I opened my mouth ; I'm happy to see how well SM3 is doing, I do hope it'll secure a 4th episode with the same creative team (hopefully featuring Lizard and Kraven).

On the summer subject I think it's a very good thing that SM3 opened it, it should secure it more than decent legs (people may give it another try after seeing other blockbusters). :)

The pirates fanboys at piratesmojo are pissed constantly saying "awe is way better" "look at the wom". Despite the fact many liked Spidey 3 and like me thought it was better than pirates. Good job Spidey.

I wonder how AWE had better WOM when it had the same percentual weekend-to-weekend drop, despite a smaller opening.

I feel the same my freind. thid film truly is amazing and the money it's made really is one of the things that shows that. It's going to keep going and I am 100% possitive it's going to hit 900 million.

Is there an updated AROUND-THE-WORLD write up about the overseas cume of these movies on Box Office Mojo, I can't seem to find it. It should be date June 3rd.

Also, didn't Box Office Mojo have a FRANCHISE page, with the worldwide cume: featuring Star Wars, Spidey, LOTR and Harry Potter, I can't find that one either.

If there's a LINK, let me know, thanks.

The Round The World Wrapup, comes out Wed. or Thursday of that week, after all the #'s are in. The last one was dated May 30th. So figure The 6th of June for next one.

I personally haven't even heard any Word of Mouth on pirates outside the internet. Spider man 3 had a lot of negative buzz, but people were still talking about it more.

I just hope that the numbers aren't the only thing the studio is looking at when dictating the sequel. It was a good movie, but if it starts a trend, by number four the franchise will be drowning, even if it is still making money.

And Harry Potter is still coming out, those movies are huge as well.

I loved Spidey 3. I realize there are some issues with it like there are with most movies but it was a treat to watch. I realize the contracts are up now and Sony really has no clue if this cast or director was gonna be back...and they wanted Venom in this film. If they crew was all signed for 4 films ahead of time then I think this story would have been spread out over 2 films.

weird to think that a 2 billion dollar francise was once in legal litigation hell for over a decade.

also if things had gone differently cameron rather than raimi would have directed.

And Arnold was pretty much all but signed for Doc Ock in Cameron's version.
