Well, if the Big G rumor is true, that is not the kind of deviating from the story that I want! Even SM3 didn't do that. I don't mind some changes, but those kinds of changes (like possibly with the Big G) just suck.

And Spidey rules the BO (there I mentioned the Spider-Man BO).

Big G "rumor"!! Here we go on heresay again! Green Goblin was SOOO FAR from the comics it was ridiculous but yet SM1 was considered gold. Just watch the movie and judge for yourself bruh! Just give it a chance. Don't go in with preconceived notions.

Other than being a munitions dealer and wearing a battle suit, how was he "SOOO FAR from the comics"...?

Hell, at least he was IN the movie. Story doesnt respect Galactus enough to even include him, lol. :whatever:

The Green Goblin was not like the GG in the comics in appearance, but character wise, he was spot on. All the core aspects of him were there. Going the Big G rumor route takes away core aspects of the character. Not the same thing, and two different changes. The Big G way is more akin to what they did to Dr. Doom (who you must admit was ruined in FF).

I am giving FF2 a chance. I an excited to see it, but I am extremely concerned for the Big G (much like I was Doom prior to FF). At this point, I am hoping he isn't there, cause to be honest, I think no Galactus is better than a poor Galactus. Lesser of two evils.

Go to the FF2's forums, and you will see what I have been saying about the movie.

In the comics, the goblin wasn't a suit, he was.......a goblin. But I'm not knocking Raimi for it. He did ok. As far as Big G, if he is a cloud(which has been debunked from both Story and Fox)he still eats planets and he uses heralds. He seems close to the comics just as close as the Goblind does. :o And I'm not knockin Spidey at all but neither of them seem 100% faithful to the comics. BB is DEFINETLY off the way the sequel sounds with the Joker, but it sounds like one of the coolest concepts in awhile. Was I upset about Doom? Yes! He turned the greatest villian into a 2nd rate villian. But like Xmen2, Sm2, Superman2 and Blade 2, sequels tend to improve from the original. Its 3 you have to worry about. Which gets us back on SM3, I loved this movie but even I have to admit it could have been more.

And Bane is a hulking strong guy made from a weakling, so the B&R version is accurate.

Galactus is more than eating planets and heralds, just like Bane is more than that.

Also Superman II = Not nearly as good as Superman: The Movie. I also thought Blade was better than Blade II.

Dude....if there were a way to be more "wrong", I can't think of it!

He was ALWAYS a guy in a suit in the comics....I think you are thinking of the "Ultimate Green Goblin" from the "Ultimate Universe" where he is an actual Goblin. He has been a guy in a suit since, oh, 1964.

I was too busy making my Bane point to even notice that.

I am slipping. Nice point.

but even there, he was a guy in a suit first...

Now thats awesome!!!!:spidey:.

Now difference between SM3 and Shrek 3 at the same point is around 25m.

$900 is a reach, but the compression of the summer's 3 heavyweight simple cause them to cannibalize each other. Spider-Man 3 will still delvier the most impressive results, since it's going to make more money than the previous films, but that's in a wash, since it cost more. Sony needs to look at ways to keep the budget steady state,a nd it might be waiting 3-4 years before launching another trilogy...maybe Sam, Tobey, and crew will be up for it, and the movie-going public woud certianly eat it up. Sony has a limited time to commit, since the license revert back to Marvel if they don't meet some milestones on the next films.

So 332-336M seems like a final domestic tally, eh?

Well, it should be at $331 million by Sunday, so I think it's more like 336-340. I personally think it will limp to close to or exactly at 340. It still has some time in theaters and then the eventual cheap theaters, so it should be able to get close to 340.
