Spidey's about to crack the Top 10 and pass HP:Chamber of Secrets ($876.7) for 10th place on the All Time WW list.

Hehehe, even in ticket sales SM3 now is the number one movie of the franchise worldwide.

I think after Spiderman 3, this franchise has reached it's pinnacle in audience popularity.

Pretty much. I think whenever a part 4 comes out I will be happy if it does 300 domestically/750-800 worldwide, especially considering it could be a whole different cast and crew at the helm.

The film might do a lot worse if that happens:dry:

We don't know if it's going to be a new cast and crew for sure. Sam, Tobey, Kirsten, etc. probably and hopefully will return IMO.

Speaking of a returning cast, I still can't believe we haven't heard anything regarging Spider-Man 4 yet. We all know that upon some strange reason, the film will get made. It will be interesting to see how long we wait until Sony confirms anything about the fourth film in the series.

On the other hand, it is still great that Spidey is doing fairly well at the BO. It seems as if the world can't get enough of Spider-Man in 2007!

I'd rather see Sam and Tobey and Kirsten back for SM4. Mostly to see Sam handle Lizard and Tobey/Kirsten play Peter/MJ when they tie the knot.

Sure after SM4 the series will be reaching its ends anyway why not let the last major plot thread and the last great villain (besides Kingpin and Hobgoblin who can't be used for different, but obvious reasons) be done by this team.

Than Sony can "reinvent" and most likely ruin the series all they want with SM5: Maximum Carnage or whatever...but let Sam do his SM4 first.

^I agree. I believe Sony will show Sam, Tobey, and Kirsten the money for Spidey 4 in order to have complete closure for the Peter/MJ love story. After that they are welcome to do what they want. Plus, Sam would really have a hay-day with the Lizard.

10. X-Men - $606,611,873

So the POTC Trilogy has now surpassed the Spidey Trilogy worldwide, though it looks like Spidey's Trilogy is safe from Pirates and Ogres on a domestic level.

Can "Spider-Man 3" manage to craw at least another $14,722,277 by the end of its run to capture the title of "#1 Trilogy of All-Time Domestically"? I'm not so sure. It's possible, but it'll be extremely close if it does.

SM4 with Sam, Tobey, and Kirsten...Pete and MJ get married. Main villain being the Lizard.

Those would be the best things for Spider-Man 4.

I do love how people in other boards are still calling this a disappointment, lol.

People can call it whatever they want. It's still the best Superhero Franchise out there. :spidey:

I can't freakin' believe that a comic book film can be in the top 5 trilogies of all-time, above Star Wars twice. Damn, that Spider is something.
