I think after Spiderman 3, this franchise has reached it's pinnacle in audience popularity.
Pretty much. I think whenever a part 4 comes out I will be happy if it does 300 domestically/750-800 worldwide, especially considering it could be a whole different cast and crew at the helm.
We don't know if it's going to be a new cast and crew for sure. Sam, Tobey, Kirsten, etc. probably and hopefully will return IMO.Pretty much. The film might do a lot worse if that happens![]()
Just a quick little update on my post from June 10th to see where we are now after June 17th...
Spider-Man
Domestic: $403,706,375
International: $418,002,176
Worldwide: $821,708,551
Spider-Man 2
Domestic: $373,585,825
International: $410,180,516
Worldwide: $783,766,341
Spider-Man 3
Domestic (as of June 17): $330,021,137
International (as of June 17): $543,754,164
Worldwide: $873,775,301
Spider-Man Trilogy
Domestic (as of June 17): $1,107,313,337
International (as of June 17): $1,371,936,856
Worldwide: $2,479,250,193
Top 10 Trilogies Ever - Worldwide (as of June 17)
1. The Lord of the Rings - $2,913.1M
2. Harry Potter - $2,643.0M
3. POTC - $2,541.6M
4. Spider-Man - $2,479.2M
5. Star Wars 1-3 - $2,415.2M
6. Jurassic Park - $1,902.1M
7. Shrek - $1,808.4M
8. Star Wars 4-6 - $1,788.9M
9. The Matrix - $1,624.0M
10. Mission: Impossible - $1,401.9M
Top 10 Trilogies Ever - Domestic (as of June 17)
1. Star Wars 1-3 - $1,122,035,614
2. Spider-Man - $1,107,313,337
3. Star Wars 4-6 - $1,060,779,251
4. The Lord of the Rings - $1,033,551,625
5. Shrek - $1,006,136,358
6. POTC - $1,002,875,240

8. Jurassic Park - $767,326,501
9. Indiana Jones - $619,416,531
10. X-Men - $606,611,873
So the POTC Trilogy has now surpassed the Spidey Trilogy worldwide, though it looks like Spidey's Trilogy is safe from Pirates and Ogres on a domestic level.
Can "Spider-Man 3" manage to craw at least another $14,722,277 by the end of its run to capture the title of "#1 Trilogy of All-Time Domestically"? I'm not so sure. It's possible, but it'll be extremely close if it does.
Unfortunately, no.
SM4 with Sam, Tobey, and Kirsten...Pete and MJ get married. Main villain being the Lizard.
Those would be the best things for Spider-Man 4.
I do love how people in other boards are still calling this a disappointment, lol.

I can't freakin' believe that a comic book film can be in the top 5 trilogies of all-time, above Star Wars twice. Damn, that Spider is something.Top 10 Trilogies Ever - Worldwide (as of June 17)
