Wait, there are scenes in the trailer showing Batman beating up the Joker?

How'd I miss that?

It's just batcape:

Yeah it's his cape. But I still think that he is grieving because Rachel got off'ed. I mean, clearly he's upset, and the Rachel-character is the only one (apart from Alfred!) that Bruce has any sort of meaningful emotional connection with at all. I'm reminded of Jonah Nolan's comment about this film: "Things have to get worse before they get better." And I don't think he's alluding only to Gotham: rather, he's speaking about Bruce Wayne. I mean, the whole Mommy and Daddy getting wacked is good, it's canon, but I think in this film, Batman's whole revenge-ethos thing will work better if he loses the only other person in his life that he really cares about -- and it will make his relationship with Dent more believable after he becomes Two Face, because they both suffered the same loss (I'm assuming Nolan's Harvey isn't the hit-it-and-quit-it type).

Oh, I'm quite aware of what the building looks like - I work right across the street from it. In both views, that is the north-facing side of the building, which would be considered the front, and is the same face that was used in BB, with some features removed. The other side of the building looks quite different. I had pointed out the lack of the Wayne logo shortly after the trailer had come out, in another thread, and was curious as to why it was missing. I hadn't thought about the monorail, but that is another obvious "missing" piece.

They could easily make Wayne Tower in the movies look the same from both the front and back. Just because the real building is one way doesn't mean they can't change it for Gotham City.

Unless, of course, they showed the backside of Wayne Tower to be different from the front in BB...

I love your posts. I really do. So wonderfully irreverent ... :yay:

I hope it's true. I can only dream.:whatever:

Stop posting in a manner that is condescending, Batmanfanatic. It offends me. It offends me deeply.

Can you make a quick post with the updates separate from the main post? I have a hard time scrolling through and figuring out exactly which sentence is the update. Or make them in bold or something... please.

Thanks. You can't blame me for thinking it legs with shoes from how it wasn't close enough to give me enough details. And I figure Rachel might be kill off with how Bruce has that sad look along with leaving his suit all the place. He usually put them in a storage when he isn't wearing them. I imagine losing someone close to him again make him too depressing to care what he's doing, especially with leaving the suit all over the place there.

I think it's her liberal use of the :whatever: smiley. I don't think she means to be condescending.

I personally tend to watch my use of that smiley. I have an immediate visceral reaction to seeing someone roll their eyes like that, and it's not a positive one...

I try not to use the :whatever: for exactly that reason - I get the feeling I'll be mis-interpreted if I do

There is a great solution for him. It's called the ignore list. I'm happy to say I've already used it.

Both trailers look amazing, i really cant wait for the movie, the joker looks awesome, and batman looks amazing as well, This is by far gonna be the best movie of 2008

The analysis that started this thread is sober, thorough and interesting. Not the sort of thing one typically encounters around here. Good job.

I think upon close analysis of the Rachel photo, we can say her cheek was injured and Joker tried to kiss her. The red on her bottom lip and cheek is too strong to be makeup.
