I never got why they decide to make prequels like ten years after the original story... there is only so much the makeup can do... even this CGI de-aging thing. It's not crisp enough IMO to do it throughout a film until I am proven wrong. I guess Ian can still pull off Gandolf since the dude was old as **** to begin with... but with Aragorn I don't know... Viggo will have quite a bit of where and tear being this is ten years after filming LOTR. Same with Liv. I'd rather this than recast. It's just unfortunate when they decide to wait this long.

Well there was a bit of controversy leading up to who should buy the rights to bring the Hobbit to the big screen. Its no wonder why it took so long to make the project green lit.

I've got no problem with Liv, hell she's only 30 years old and she looks so fine and young.

As for Viggo, hmm I dunno. We'll see.

Im more curious about Bilbo...I don't think Ian Holme will return cause he's old now...

Ian is Gandalf. Period. I for one am glad he'll be back as the old wizard...question is, will Christopher Lee return as Saruman??

There's no point in making it if they don't have the actors from LotR playing their characters here. (Of course, only the character that were actually in The Hobbit).

I thought Ian Holm was great, so I hope they bring him back.

if they do recast bilbo del toro and jackson have to be careful of bringing in the right person. Its hard to fill a hobbits feet. The four hobbits in the original lotr were perfect because you actually believed they were small people and not just normal sized actors. You cant have some popular actor fill the shoes because just seeing him small would just add a comedic factor to the movie and thats something i dont want. If they do re cast bilbo its gonna have to be an unknown actor

is that everyone? I haven't read the Hobbit since high school so forgive me if I left anyone out. But I'm pretty happy about Ian, Viggo, and Andy coming back. It should be awesome! I hope they bring the characters I just mentioned above's original actors.

I remember reading the hobbit but no mention of Arwen... but... I remember reading those notes like short stories that take place during the rinding of the ring and the capture of Gollum... I forget when did Arwen and Aragorn meet: before or during the capturing of Gollum? Probably before..

Hellboys one of my favourite comic book movies. Its a fun movie although some people complained about the pacing.
