The older I get, the younger 20-26 gets. And that sucks.

30-something actors like Sam Worthington is still in the running.

Besides the 20-26 is mature for female. 20-26 males almost the same as too green. :woot:

Are her elbows too pointy as well?

:facepalm

Now that you mention it...

I'm sure you have actresses you'd prefer not play a role as well. Mind listing them so I can tell you why you're being stupidly picky? Thanks.

I'd love to see Eva Green as Sif, if they want a famous actress.

If not a famous actress, then I'd go with Cobie Smulders.

Eva Green would be good. She's got some name recognition, too. Maybe not Natalie Portman name recognition, but enough to lend credibility to the film.

I am betting they're going to take another cast from Aussie soap, or UK TV series for Sif & Karnilla.

It wouldn't surprise me if we got some more UK'ers. Branagh himself is English and probably knows the lesser-known UK actors better (since it seems they're going for lesser-known actors so far).

I think you nailed it. The term here is "credibility". This movie needs this kind of credible actors for all the supporting roles. Not necessarily famous, but credible and recognizable.

I thought he is Irish?

Oh, IMDB says you're right. Sorry, I thought he was English. I don't think I've ever heard him use an Irish accent.

No need to apologize. I just was puzzled because you are usually better informed than me, so I thought my information was wrong.

I don't think Enchantress is going to be in this

Amora is for the 2nd movie, if & only if the first movie goes past 180-200 million domestically.

Anyway, famous names for female roles in superhero movies is almost unnecessary. People don't see Iron Man for Gwyneth and TI Hulk for Liv Tyler. Gals might want to see the studs, guys are content with the action.

Actors with name recognition--male or female--might shake some of the stigma off of the superhero movies for older demographics, though. "Well, it can't just be for kids and stupid people if Gwyneth Paltrow decided to co-star in it!" It's silly, but I'm sure there's reams of marketing data that confirms it works.

I don't know about you guys but I'm expecting some strong play actresses to be sought out for supporting roles since he went small with Hemsworth and Loki...
