We'll have to see about that.
If Thor is supposed to be thier LotR, then they better start taking chances, and trust the director. I hope that Vaughn doesn't have to cut too much that the movie makes no sense.

as Thor: :down :down :down

Marvel's looking for a YOUNG Thor (19-20), not an older Thor.

Yeah I know they are looking for teen Thor and that's really sad.

Marvel impressed me with getting Vaughn and the script sounded pretty good and then marvel told vaughn to cut the budget. Not saying he can't make it for (what is it now 100 mill?) cuz obvuisly the right director can make a real EPIC flick for that cough*peterjackson*cough just that thats what I want. I dotn want another blade 3, elektra, punisher, daredevil, ff 1+2, x3...well you see where this is going....

Basically Iron man is looking to be a truly fantastic film and i think thor should follow up that success and marvel should be doing everythig to insure that.

Depending on where you read it, the budget said 180mil in one place and now there saying 150 mil.

See part of the reason those other movies were bad was because they weren't done by Marvel. So it's not ENTIRELY the directors fault.
Fox changed many things to the way they wanted to see movies to look like, and in many cases they were bad moves on our (the Fans) point of view.
So both Hulk and IM should be right on the money.

20 year old Thor is a ridiculous idea.

Get an actual actor who can carry the role with dignity, and just cgi out his wrinkles.

Triple H has the perfect look for Thor, BUT could he act the part? It's easy to say NO. But if you think about it, They could get a much better actor to play Thor but how many of the "better" actors out there could pull off the look? As much as i want the acting substance to be there, I also want the visual to be there as well. Maybe Triple H could pull it off with ALOT of effort.
So, what do you think?

Uhm...I don't know. I like the guy a lot. But...I don't think he can do this...

What about that guy who plays Sawyer in "Lost", I keep forgeting his name...

lots of people have mentioned him and by the Rumour that Marvel are looking for someone in their early 20's I think we could say the guy ain't in the running.

They will probabley go with someone we have barley heard of and surround him with a well known supporting cast.

Triple H isn't even the height they say he is anyway...wrestlers are overbilled to make them seem more menacing.

Triple H stands about 6'2", which as many of you have said is "too short" for Thor.

I wouldn't even want to see Triple H as a generic asgardian, because he looks too much like Thor to belong in the movie without be Thor.

The only character I MIGHT want to see him as is Ulik. I think he'd make an all right pissed off Troll.

Heughan? Is Thor now gay? LOL Wow that guy looks like a flimsy soap opera wannabe.

What do you think of Kevin McKidd as Thor? It's not for sure but rumored on IMDB (though it is IMDB so ya never know).

Also if someone else posted this just close :)

If he was taller, I'd say he was perfect. Now...............................maybe............hard to say with the way they are goign with this. And why start a new thread?

One thing to remember...since the movie's based in Asgard...his height is fine...everyone in Asgard is tall, thus no one would look tall anyway.

I doubt that he is Thor though. Aren't they going with a younger Thor anyway?

Well yeah unfortunately they want a younger Thor but the director Matt Vaughn wants Mckidd as Thor, and he is indeed a good choice, best actor on Rome, his height isn't a problem they can use camera techniques (sp?) to make him seem taller, CGI out the wrinkles (or keep 'em) ad have him go through the "300" training and he'd be awesome!

Well the height's not a problem think about it.

The shortest Asgardian I know of is the Enchantress and she's 6'3"...that means by Asgardian standards Thor is pretty average in height.

The key would be to cast Loki a few inches shorter than Thor, and Odin the tallest.
