Wow, didn't expect this. This is the first movie she's done in how long now?
It'll be 5 & 1/2 years since her last film(Yours, Mine & Ours-Nov/05).
Wow! Great choice. I feel more comfortable now we've got some recognizable names.
Russo is a very nice addition.
By the way, anyone know if Hela will be making an appearance at all?
Haven't seen Russo for a minute. Needless to say, from that last Nickelodeon flick she did, I would still hit it.
Got to give it to Marvel, hiring well known and reliable actors is a simple tactic, but also a fantastic tactic at that. What better way to get the audience watching something they are not familiar with than hiring actors that they are familiar with.
This Thor cast is probably the best cast in comic book movie historu
Move over SM4. Thor just became one of my most anticipated movies of 2011.
Gatt, Coxx, and Brenna are all tall guys
Rene Russo?!?!
And I agree, this is probably the best in ensemble in comic book movie history. Who else are they gonna pull out of the bag?!!?
This movie will own! I don't even need to see it to know that, but of course, I will see it. At this point they would have to do something MONUMENTALLY stupid to ruin this movie. Everything has been great so far.
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Jaimie Alexander as Sif
Stuart Townsend as Fandral
Tadanobu Asano as Hogun
Ray Stevenson as Volstagg

Rene Russo as Frigga
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
Kat Dennings as Darcy

Between this and Clash of the Titans we are getting some incredibly well-cast mythologically based movie in these next couple of years
Yea this is one of the few movies EVER that I have 100% confidence in.
If it ends up crap though I will be devastated!
No Hela then?
No one really knows at this point, although I'd guess probably not
That would be a shame.
But I guess it's not like they cant feature her at some point in the future.
Yeah, it's not like she shows up in Thor's everyday activities, she's more tied in to specific storylines and/or events and could be featured in sequels. The same goes for Enchantress and Executioner
I bet in the sequel we get Hela and Valkyrie. Death and Hell and all.
That would be awesome.
I dig this move. It has been a while since she was in anything.
cool news about the 3 other additional casting.
According imdb, the Skarsgaard role is "Professor Andrew Ford".
Hmm, Ford or Fjord.....by jimmeny!
Eh eh, Fjord. Good!!
