Loki must be crazy, a homicidal freak, that actually likes all tha pain he causes.

Jonathan Rhyes Meyers would be quite a good loki. His scheming, machiavellian Steerpike in BBC/PBS mini series Gormenghast was great.

That's right ThorFan, at the begining Loki is almost a complete OPPOSITE of who we know today. after a few events Loki's transformed and by the end of the film he's who we know.

Agreed!

In this case, either Jonathan Rhyes Meyers or Joachim Phoenix are great choices for Loki.

I picked other, I think they really messed up with not going with Kevin McKidd.

I say Kevin McKidd for Thor and Jacquiem Phoenix for Loki, Brandon Gleeson for Odin

We'll see about it.

And please, Kevin Mckidd only if you're reffering to Donald Blake!

Oh... and there's no Don Blake either. Earth is in Viking times in this movie...
sorry, man!:yay:

On a happy note to you, Vaughan himself stated that he's interested in having McKidd in the movie... but not as Thor! I think he could be a great Balder... or Fandral. :cwink:

McKidd COULD be a different Asgardian, Vaughn didn't denigh McKidd WASN'T in the Thor movie.

Man... Vaughnn said he's going to use the ''Hero'' Thor, with Donald Blake and other elements of the classic origin.

Never heard of that.
All I know is that the first draft I have read (the same one AICN, IESB, Comics2Film and other sites are praising) doesn't have Don Blake, NYC or anything like that. It's all in Asgard and in Viking-era Midgard.

Do you have a link to this Vaughn statement?

It's out there somewhere. I'm going to look for it. But the first draft was recused, as far as i know.

No, according to Vaughn, everybody at Marvel loved it. They just asked him to work the script so they can fit it within a 150-180 million budget. Just some tweaks needed, battle scenes trimmed down, nothing too drastic. Here's what he said for The Guardian:

"My phone has just rung. Marvel loves the script. The only problem is that it has been costed at $300m and they ask how I am going to reduce it by $150m. I think I prefer being asked what it's like working with De Niro."

This is an old article. The newest news said Thor is in a waiting pattern aka development hell.
