No enjoyment in Skars not getting it.. to be honest i didn't think he was the best person for Thor to begin with. I said that ALL along, now as for some of the other stuff i heard from very reliable sources they were true... UNTIL K.B. decided to cast under 28 YRS OLD!!! Now i was one of the FIRST who said this was the case, NOT 30 specifically under 28 YRS OLD!!! That's why i thought Skars might make him change his mind... BUT it's hollyweird, things change... by the time you hear something from a reliable source.... all it takes is one phone call or a producer to say..."you know what, maybe we should" and then BAM, that rumor is false now... oh well, SOOOOOO let the Jesen Ackles for Cap campaign begin... lol.

Here's my Thor cast, based on what we already know, what I like, and think is plausible

Chris Hemsworth-Thor
Tom Hiddleston-Loki
Natalie Portman-Karnilla
Abraham Benrubi-Volstagg
Clifton Collins Jr-Hogun
Phillip Winchester-Fandral
Kenneth Branagh-Odin
Missy Peregrym-Sif

Good.

Here's mine (revised):

Thor/Donald Blake - Chris Hemsworth.
Loki - Tom Hiddleston.
Jane Foster - Rachel Nichols (Not bad!)
Sif - Missy Peregrym.
Volstagg - Robbie Coltrane.
Fandral - Kenneth Braghnah.
Hogun - ?????? (I'd say Tom Corbett, but he's not asian).
Odin - Stellan Skarsgaard.

Could you imagine Stellan in this film but not his son??? All I can say is... recast for movie 2 if that happens.

Although I'd prefer someone like David Wenham or Ewan McGregor as Fandral

I think she is. Isn't half the movie set on Earth?
Yeah, but not modern day Earth

It's because Braghnah alredy said he's going to have a supporting role in the movie. Frandal is the only one I can see him playing. :hehe:
Except he's old and chubby now. Like I said, 15 years ago he would have been perfect.

According to the Marvel description, which writer Ashley Miller said is pretty accurate

This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Even still, i don't think Foster is in it, and Sif will be the love interest.

Yes, well all that means is that at least part of it takes place in modern times, which we've heard has been added to the end of the script. Not half of it ;)

Nothing in that description directly contradicts anything from the first draft and that is a really good way of summarizing it without any spoilers, so I think the basic outline of it has likely remained the same

Which is great because it is awesome!

So I guess Hemsworth is playing both Thor and Donald Blake? :csad::csad::csad:

Not sure if anyone saw this:

Star Trek actor Clifton Collins Jr 'in auditions' for role in Thor
By David Bentley on May 31, 09 05:30 PM

Clifton Collins Ayel.jpg

IN TODAY'S third update on the Thor movie, actor Clifton Collins Jr has claimed to be trying for a role in the superhero blockbuster.

Collins, 38, who played Ayel, the sidekick of Romulan villain Nero (Eric Bana) in the new Star Trek, said he was auditioning for a part in the Marvel film directed by Kenneth Branagh. Fellow Star Trek star Chris Hemsworth has already been cast in the lead role of Thor.

Collins, who was also in Capote and Crank: High Voltage, wrote on his Twitter page: "Studying my ass off for Thor, gonna be a late night, well worth the loss of sleep", followed the next day by "Brewing big pot of joe, hitting Thor hard this mornin!"

The actor didn't reveal which role he was trying for, although MTV speculated that he would be a good fit for one of Thor's Asgardian associates, The Warriors Three. The Warriors Three comprises the Asgardian gods Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg. They are fictional creations of Marvel and not part of Norse mythology.

Certainly moreso then your highly informative post

However, yes, that has been posted before.

nah I don't think Branagh would be a good Odin. Brian Blessed would be my ideal Odin

If they got Stellan Skars for Odin and didn't get Alex Skars for Thor I'd freak.

Blessed is pretty good in those roles.
