Gotta love the random-ass colors on Balder's costume. Sometimes I really wonder what those '60s colorists were thinking...

I've spliced the Tales of Asgard Covers so far. I was actually SHOCKED seeing a Thor cover in my pull at the LCS lol

So I guess when Aquaman died he was transported to the Marvel U. (dude between Thor's legs...pause)

Yeah that's supposed to be the Norse "Adam and Eve"

Meh. The story was all right but I didn't like some elements. Balder had a good moment, which he's desperately needed for a while, but it's tainted for me by the execution of the events it references.

Eh, I liked it. Damn shame about the depowering, but then again, better to have a reason he loses to Hulk the next time they fight than simple jobing.

I'm looking at it as Thor has more control over what happens with Mjolnir since they are more a part of each other now. Besides I still wonder if the Odin Force Thor and Strange mention was actual ODIN force and not Thor Force, the two are different one's Thor's father's power the other is Thor's which really has yet to be explored.
Look at it as having leftovers in Thor from his father's Asgard buried deep within Thor.
Thor really never got to explore his own powers since they were infused with Odin's as well after the trials. Not to mention Thor has seemed to have lost his knowledge over magics over the years.

I don't think we'll see any of that. The depowering seemed like a pretty clear attempt to get Thor back to his classic powers and leave him there.

I understand how they did it but why bring Thor down to his more naturals levels.I really really wanted to see Thor wipe the floor with Hulk. Now its gonna be the same old thing, the Mighty Thor not so mighty when he meets Hulk.

I don't know. Thor would beat every established hero and only cave to his own villains if I had my way.

Okay, not really, but he'd sure as hell have a better record against the Hulk and the Juggerdouche.

Juggernaut is powered by a immensly powerful god, and Hulk is insanely and endlessly strong. Its not like Thor is loseing to squirl girl or something.

And Thor is an immensely powerful god himself whose strength is the stuff of legend. He should be able to hang with Marvel's best, yet he's been treated like a second-class powerhouse since the '80s.

Give me some example of this alleged mistreatmeant.

Jugg's a do get, he has god level powers and protections. Hulk, and here's the thing with hulk, he can't fight. What are his moves? He punches things, he claps his hands and he stomps his feet. He fights like a kid with temper tamtrums. Now thor is a guy of the same power level that actually knows more about fighting than pretty much anyone alive on earth with a possible few exceptions. When you combine the qualities thor should whoop hulk's ass with fair ease. Even now as depowered as he is. I don't mind thor losing if it's to someone powerful or someone with a damn good plan, I just don't think he should be losing in standard brawl type things, that's what vikings do.

His super-speed and virtually all of his hammer's abilities other than being something hard to hit people with is forgotten in almost every fight, for one thing.
