Maybe not a standard Frost Giant. But maybe the Ymir, King of the Frost Giants is a possibility. I could see that.

If the first draft is anything to go by, Ymir is only a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo at the start of the film. Hence the term "walk-on part". And the character would likely be entirely CGI. So Branagh would essentially be hiring De Niro to play a part with no dialogue in a motion-capture suit.

But as you said there has been changes in the script.

And I was thinking more Andy Serkis/King Kong style. But, obviously with speech as well as his face implanted on the CGI character.

You think Branagh would get DeNiro into one of these? :wow:

:hehe: It would be an interesting sight to behold.

But Serkis didn't do that for Kong did he? They mocapped his facial expressions.

If Robert D is in the flick its Odin or Bust there is no other character that is deserving. Maybe Surtur but I don't know if he's in or not. That script was out a while back whoever read that just completely throw that out of your ahead. They've added Jane Foster who I can't imagine playing a role in a viking age movie. Whatever that script had in it is gone, this is Thor in the modern age more than likely set in New York.

Deniro???? He's a great actor but I can't see him playing anyone in a Thor movie.

well if de niro and jude law are in this... then 10 bucks says that's 2 of the 3 warriors 3... jude would be a great Hogun, and i could totally see De Niro as Volstag

What? Jude Law as Fandrel, DeNiro = Hogun, Blessed as Volstag.

Deniro is a great actor but he's not an accents and voices kind of guy. Do you really want any Asgardian with a brooklyn bum accent?

I wouldn't but his gay pirate in Stardust was funny, so maybe something more along the lines as a present days person in NYC

THOR #606
Written by KIERON GILLEN
Pencils & Cover by BILLY TAN

THE FINAL BATTLE!

Dr. Doom has committed barbaric atrocities against the Asgardians living in his realm of Latveria. Now Balder has marshaled his forces, and called upon the counsel of his general, Tyr, the God of War. Even the outcast Thor has rallied to the defense of his people. But what secret weapon has Doom wrought with secrets plundered from Asgard?! And whose side is the duplicitous Loki truly on…?

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

606 looks more like Destroyer's leg wondering how that's coming into play if it is Doom.

Isn't it weird, having new Thor solicits every month? How CRAZY is it going to be when that's actually new Thor issues coming out every month?

Gonna be hard to get used to but it's better to have one a month over one evry two months

I can remember WAY back when it was 1st shown that Loki and Doom were in cahoots that this was going to be some interesting story.

Awesome that Tyr is actually being used. I hope we see more of the named Norse gods. I've always felt like they've been neglected in favor of the very small group of Thor, Odin, Sif, Loki, and Balder (not even counting the Warriors Three, since they're totally new to the comics).

I guess Doom manages to stick someone in the Destroyer and get it working for his side. That should be fun to see. Destroyer fights are always awesome. :hehe:

Could be why he's been experimenting on the Asgardians

I thought he was experimenting on Asgardians to understand and duplicate their immortality. That's the reason we got in #603, at least.
