Reed and Sue shouldn't be married imo. That's a huge storyline that needs to be built up

Yeah, the one thing the Silver Surfer sequel got right is the marriage. It's a massive event in the books.

Maybe not married exactly but perhaps they’re engaged or something. The old movies sort of went with that angle and I don’t care to see it again. Just change it up and get on with it. I don’t need that built up. I’d much rather see them already together and have some tension that could possibly jeopardize the relationship. Perhaps Reed is so into his research and inventions that it frustrates Sue who feels she’s being shut-out and she’s considering breaking up with him.

Just something different and fresh from what’s been done before.

After watching A Quiet Place myself...John Krasinski at this point just makes so much more sense as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic

Emily Blunt as Sue Storm...could that work? I mean she was in the running for the role of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Emily I have always wanted to see her in the MCU so seeing her as Sue Storm would be awesome. Plus her and John have chemistry in real life since they are married and what not

Ben is the youngest actor there... That should be Johnny's age range not Ben's.

Reed and Ben should be the same age. Sue should be younger than them and Johnny younger than her at around Spider-man's age (so early twenties actor for Johnny who can pass as a teen).

I like the choices of Constance Wu as Sue and Rahul Kohli as Reed (I'm not sure if he could pull off an American accent though so Reed might have to be British if they choose him), but not together because he should be older than her.

The older members of the FF (Ben and Reed) should be middle aged in their 30's ate least from the start. That's how they've mostly been portrayed in comics and that's one of the things that should not change.

While I appreciate the diverse casting(It's nice to think outside the box) I'd rather cast racially accurate to the comics.


My picks for the MCU Fantastic Four cast.

Reed Richards - Jake Gyenhaall: A lot people recently have him pegged as Batman and he'd be fine in that role but for me I think he'd be a much better fit for everybody's favorite elastic genius. He has the charm and can portray a convincing leader. Patrick Wilson was initially my ideal choice but I realize when and if The Four come back home Wilson will be bordering in his early 50's. So I have no choice but to cast younger.

Sue Storm - Yvonne Stahovski The last few seasons of Dexter weren't so good but she was and then some.

Ben Grimm - Jonah Hill: He's proven to be a good dramatic actor as well as comedic. See him in Moneyball. He shows a lot of range IMO. A lot of people also liked another Jewish actor(Seth Rogan) but I actually think Hill embodies Ben Grimm more. He's pretty short (5'7) but I think his acting chops can more than make up for it.

Johnny Storm- Joe Kerry. He's not that much older than Tom Holland and has played a high school student recently in ''Stranger Things.'' A lot of folks have thrown around his co-star Darcre Montgomery but I think he's a bit too jockish for me and doesn't embody that carefree attitude Johnny has.

Jon Hamm is too old for sure. Reed will probably be cast younger than him for longevity. The cast needs to be younger. Reed and Ben late thirties to early forties, Sue late twenties to early thirties, Johnny early twenties

if you read about the fantastic four reboot!! they had Zac Efron as the Human Torch and John Cena as the Thing! my pick would be the rock for the thing!! but i could see john cena as the thing!!

I wouldn’t obsess too much about age. People act in different age groups all the time, if they don’t look their age no one knows any better. It’s like height, it’s a big thing on message boards but it’s the easiest thing in the world for Hollywood to fake

They can't fake a 24 year old being 10 years older. Ben and Reed are always around the same age being that they've been best friends since college. The ages are important because of how they interact with each other.
Plus Ben has always acted like a cranky old man, he's like everyone favourite uncle in the MU.

Mid 20's for Reed and Ben is too young and late 40's plus is too old for a franchise. Johnny should be around the same age as Peter Parker, so he should be early 20's and never be over 30. Sue is the one who's age you can play around with the most, as long as she is older than Johnny and younger than the other two.

I really like all the other ones, but I have my doubts about Jonah Hill. He's a talented actor but I don't know if I can picture him as Thing. Ben Grimm is very much a manly, working class bloke. Jonah comes across as a bit of a geek in everything I've seen from him.

I’m down for more diversity but I do not like this cast at all.

And Jonah Hill as The Thing? Nah not seeing it. Seth Roger works a lot better. Think about his voice, it’d be perfect. Jonah Hill should play Penguin if he plays any comic book character

Matt Smith as Reed is inspired casting, and his chemistry with Foy in The Crown is strong, they'd make a good couple for Reed & Sue.

I think I realized my problem with Blunt as Sue. She doesn't have that approachable, Girl Next Door aura-quality that comic Sue has. I guess I prefer someone more "cute" and approachable. I just don't really like Blunt's look or qualities as an actor for Sue. Felt the same way for Chalamet as Peter Parker when he was in the running. Blunt would be a better fit for someone like Abigail Brand, Mystique, Jessica Drew or Emma Frost

I still stick with Blake Lively or Jessica Rothe

Blunt is a good actress but she doesn't scream girl next door, she screams experienced ass *****.

Blunt was always my pick for Black Widow. She would've been amazing as her. Which is exactly why she doesn't seem suitable for Sue.
