Oh please stop suggesting great choices for Reed. I have my heart set on John Cho now

I'm convinced that the best and safest choice for Reed is John Krasinski.

Not sure about Sue, but Blake Lively seems like the most popular candidate.

As for Johnny, I think Marvel should grab Harry Styles before he becomes too expensive for them (Lol jk, nothing is too expensive for Disney). He was pretty good in Dunkirk and he's around Holland's age.

This is just my personal wish, but as a fan of The Leftovers, I wish they'd cast Justin Theroux as Doctor Doom. They need a really good actor to play the role, especially if he's going to be the major villain post Avengers 4.

Emily Blunt for Sue, have a real married couple play the roles. :sly:

:sps: We need to see the Torch meeting up with Spidey at the Statue of Liberty. I can hardly believe that this is actually feasible now.

We should also have Wolverine up there slicing off one of the spikes of the crown.

And since Planet of the Apes is owned by Disney now too, we should have an astronaut down on the ground banging his fists in frustration.

Smith would be terrible for Reed and would just perpetuate the nerdy misconception that people have of the character.

Smith is way more versatile than just doing an 11 impression. I'm definitely not asking for the twitchy hands stuff.

He has the authority i think of in Reed.

For me I'll find it tough to not see the Doctor. But he'd do a great job, I just don't feel here's perfect for it.

A younger FF cast

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic- Matt Smith
Sue Storm/Invisible Woman- Yvonne Strahovski
Ben Grimm/The Thing- Jared Padalecki
Johnny Storm/Human Torch- Josh Hutcherson
Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom- Rupert Friend

God, how have I never thought of that. Matt Smith would be a fantastic Reed Richards!

Some people have suggested Seth Rogen as Ben Grimm. The more I think about it, the more I like it. I also think Seann William Scott would make a terrific Ben Grimm.

Here is my final dream cast for a Marvel Studios Fantastic Four.

Reed Richards:
John Krasinski or Hugh Dancy

Sue Storm:
Yvonne Strahovski or Taylor Schilling

Johnny Storm:
Max Thieriot or Dacre Montgomery

Ben Grimm:
Seann William Scott or Seth Rogen

Victor Von Doom:
Colin Farrell or Joel Edgerton

But do we really want Doom making this expression behind his mask?

The thing about casting Reed Richards is that we don't know how much longer Robert Downey Jr will be sticking around

so not only do they need to pick the right actor for Reed Richard , you need to find a actor who can be the tent pole for the entire MCU for the next 10 years , on and off screen

you need to find a actor with the same charisma , which I'm sure is much easier said then done , but Marvel really needs to get Reed Richards right

If Marvel were to cast John Krasinski as Reed Richards, I would be over the moon happy with that. I really believe he would be perfectly cast in that role, but that said, you are right that Marvel really needs to get Reed Richards right and I can't wait for not only an announcement on a new Fantastic Four film, but who will be our new heroes.

How new to superheroing do you think they should be? A lot of people don't want another origin movie and I agree, but i still want them to be new to all of this and watch them progressively get better at it.

Yeah, big job getting this casting right.

Fresh out of college / getting degrees after or so in their mid / late 20s

Make Johnny around Peters age I'd say

Perhaps have Hank Pym be a Reed Richards mentor or someone we have seen before

They can do a nice origin easily

Stark Tower gets taken down & remade into The Baxter Building etc

I wouldn't go that young. I'd say Johhny is around early 20's, Reed mid to late 30's/early 40's, Sue is early 30's ish and Ben around the same age as Reed.

I don't think we'll see the origin again. Every time there's been a new version of the FF we've had it. It was in the Corman movie, the 2005 Story movie and then in Fant4stic in 2015. Three out of 4 films have had the origin now. It would make it as if there are no other good FF stories out there to tell and that Marvel are creatively dried up.

At most we'd get a quick montage recap like the opening sequence of the Incredible Hulk. That's all that is needed, or a quick slide show like when Tony Stark was awarded man of the year in the beginning of Iron Man 1.

Good point. I'd kinda like to see one though since it really hasn't been done all that well yet, but I could see why Marvel would avoid it.

If they did it, they would need to take a page out of the latest Mamma Mia sequel and call it Fantastic Four Origins: Here We Go Again. :o

They could introduce Reed Richards in the upcoming Spider-man movie , not the whole team , just Richards

would be kinda cool to see high school Peter Parker in the same room with Tony Stark , Bruce Banner , Hank Pym , Reed Richards and Dr Strange

assuming theyall survived Avengers 4

Ha, he'd be the dumbest person in the room for once!

I just don't want the whole first film to be their origin, but I'd be fine with:

Option A: Similar to FF #1, they have their powers, but nobody knows who they are yet. Origin is briefly shown in flashback.

Option B: Introduce them in other films and either show or mention their space-flight, then they'll already be established for their own film.

Option C: Just start with them as an established, known team. "We're the Fantastic Four, b**ch."

I'm fine with any of those as long as it works with how they'll be integrated into the MCU.

The only thing I don't want is another full-length origin film, and I don't think there's any need for it.

I think it'd be cool if Strange and Reed knew each other from before
